Katy Perry tops Maxim's Hot 100 list

Seriously? Of all the women in the world?!

I put her in the same category as Zooey Daschenel: "Why all the fuss?"

[Can't link to Maxim from work, but here's a nice summary of the top 25]

Katy Perry tops Maxim's Hot 100 List

Yeah she's hot but #1? I think last year was Olivia Wilde? How can Perry be #1 and Zooey is way down there, they pretty much look alike.

I disagree with this list. I will admit that my exposure to Katy Perry is entirely limited to whatever pictures were posted in that FOFC thread about her, so perhaps those were just bad pictures and she is actually hotter, but based on what I've seen... No.

Even cracking the top 100 would be a bit of a stretch.

Katy Perry is on fire. She could easily be at the top of my list. I'm not really sure because I've never tried to think about any other women while thinking of her, so I'm not sure how she compares. Maybe we need a Katy Perry thread.

The list seems real bad this year. Kim Kardashian at #9? Audrina at #11? Seems they just wanted to throw names in there that would draw the biggest buzz from blogs and such.

I guess I'd throw Katy Perry in the top 25 based on her success, but #1 is insane. She's an average looking girl with huge tits.

Have to get press...these lists never choose the best looking...usually the one that like RM said will get press. My vote easily goes to Marisa Miller.

The omission of Christina Hendricks entirely from the Top 100 makes this the most invalidest list of all history.

She does look pretty darned good in a bikini. Don't know about #1 though, and any omission of Ms. Hendricks is indeed a travesty.

Love both Olivias on the list, though they aren't the only beautiful ones there. But number 1? Yeah, way overrated. The editor and her must have had a casting couch session or something. There's a big difference between cute and being #1 hot.

Okay, so I think we can all agree that the problem here is that this is the Maxim 100 and not the Boberot 100...or Izulde 100, or whatever. I would think that we should be able to come up with a comprehensive methodology for an FOFC 100. Spitball a couple hundred possibles, set up a series of random pairings to vote on, and adjust won-loss rankings using an RPI scale with the percentage votes standing in for scoring.

...and that would also give DanGarion the chance to quote this post, and add a picture of Tron Guy to the bottom with the words "file photo" underneath. We all win.

I don't see why looking like an alien is an automatic disqualification. There have to be some highly bangable aliens out there. The reason we keep winning the Miss Universe pageant is because we don't let the other planets know how to get to the convention center, not because they can't be smoking hot.

Or do you mean she looks Mexican? Because that reminds me, Thalia should be on this list.

Arguing that you feel that women in the top 25 don't belong there is one thing. Seriously arguing that if you were single and approached for sex by each of these women individually, that you would turn down over 1/3 of them is unbelievably hilarious.

What if we only turn down the ones we think might be diseased? I'm not sure manscaping with a lice comb is worth it. Plus, allergic to penicillin.

If we're playing what if where everyone is single and these women are actually propositioning us I assume the what if also stipulates no repercussions of any kind as well. Its purely a judge of attractiveness in what if land IMO.
