Life Insurance Physical

So I had kind of had this Life Insurance thing sprung upon me and next thing you know they are calling me to take a physical tomorrow.

Included in this physical is the good old piss test. Short notice means I'm dirty. At this point, I'm not going to try some fast shit to pass the test, I'm just wondering what's going to happen from this point?

It's not bothering me too much. I don't care if they reject my application. Just wondering how it will affect my future attempts to get life insurance?

At least it's not a probation piss test where I'd be going to jail.

What kind of Dirty is it going to be? They will check for the Nicotine, Cocaine and some others.

If it is Nicotine and Weed you will see your premium go up but not be denied (generally) however the other stuff it will be denied.

Nicotine and THC. I've got one that doesn't penalize chew, and I haven't been smoking but will probably end up with smoking rates because of the THC positive?

It's personal. Problem is, I'd probably have to delay for a month.

More than likely....

Reschedule the physical for about a week out and do a cleanse. My wife has one that she does to help some of her NA members flush their systems out and some of her friends that smoke have never pissed positive by doing this..PM me and I will get you the info on the cleanse.

How long does nicotine take to clear your system? I never realized they'd test for that.

You can have much less than a weeks notice and show clean for nicotine I'm pretty sure. THC, as you know, will stay much longer. One time, though, I had smoked weed maybe 3 times in 6 months, and smoked weed the week of the piss test. Either I passed it, or they just decided to hire me anyway.

Me neither. Being horribly allergic to smoke, it's never going to be an issue but I never even knew they tested.

I'm surprised people are surprised. For every insurance chart I've ever seen, smokers of the same age pay far more than non-smokers. Why should they trust what you say when they can check it relatively cheaply?
