OT: A Fun Thing I Did Today
The small Iraqi-American community here in Oklahoma City held a very low key celebration today.
I went out to talk with a few people. I haven't been hugged by so many guys since the last time Fritz invited me over to play poker. It was truly a great feeling to talk to these people about their past and their future. Among the stories I heard... a 16 year old who walked from southern Iraq into Saudi Arabia with his family after the first Gulf War. He's a completely American teenager, but man... I just can't imagine a four year old doing that. Anyway, I'd suggest if you need a pick me up, no matter what side you're on, you find someone in your community who's an Iraqi-American. Just tell them you're glad to see Saddam fall and get ready for some incredible stories (and lots of man-hugs).

LOL!
Cam - I have heard a few amazing stories as well. It's nice to hear/comment on the positive things that some Arab-Americans are saying about the fall of Saddam. Fritz - You have been on a comedic roll as of late, but I am starting to question your sanity. Keep it up and watch out for Colossal Squid! |

Listen, the Colossal Squid is our friend. He has done nothing to get bashed like this. I would think that in this time of war we could all rally behind the Colossal Squid, nay, all of squid-kind! |
