OOTP 9: 1890s League

Hey guys,

Hoping you can help me. I want to start an OOTP 9 historical league in the 1890s but the historical season import doesn't work right because it imports the National League but the American League is blank, which is because the American League didn't exist 1n 1892.

Now if I try 1891 or earlier there are two league (American Association and National League) and in 1890 there is the AA, NL and Players League. Will OOTP remove the leagues as they disband? I doubt it, but then what do I do with them? Disband them myself and allow the players to become Free Agents? Or can I start in 1892 with just the NL and then add the AL as it comes in?

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

PS - the reason I ask is that I just re-read a great book on the original Baltimore Orioles of the 1890s that featured Willie Keeler, John McGraw and Hughey Jennings that won three straight NL pennants in the 1890s. The book is called Where They Ain't and I high recommend it for historical baseball afficianados.
