Do you get a gift for your boss?
So I got an email a little while ago, sent to the 7 people in my area who work for the same guy, telling us to stop by and pick up a gift from him. No big deal. But then I see the guy in the cube next to me leave and head over there, with a gift of his own. I'd been pretty much thinking that this is a one-way thing -- the boss gets gifts for his employees, and doesn't really expect one in return. But now it's got me wondering. Am I looking like a weirdo for not getting him a gift? Or is this guy looking like a suckup for getting the boss a gift? Probably somewhere in the middle -- just curious on everyone's thoughts about it here.

We usually chip in and get a department gift for our boss, and last year he gave us all Starbucks gift cards.
