College Football Week 9 discussion

Already one game played this week, with East Carolina doubling up Memphis 38-19 on Tuesday night. North Carolina visits Virginia Tech tonight, and tomorrow West Virginia pays a visit to South Florida.

Some of the big matchups on Saturday:

Texas at Oklahoma State
USC at Oregon
South Carolina at Tennessee
Georgia vs. Florida
Southern Miss at Houston

And, as a bonus, there is a Sunday night matchup: Marshall at Central Florida

Clemson plays power house Coastal Carolina in a Halloween tilt.
In a show of rare humor the CC coach asked for and was granted permission for his team to wear all black unis on the road in Clemson this week. Permission was granted, but it was simultaneously announced that Clemson was wearing all orange unis....

I think Northwestern has a better chance then Indiana. Although, an emotional hangover is possible.

HTF did VaTech manage to lose to UNC at home?

It might have something to do with VaTech continually being terrible at inopportune times.

This one was pretty easy to see coming. When one team is still talking about their loss from ten days earlier in the media two days before the next game (after a bye week), you know they don't have their heads in the right place.

I wouldn't want anything I valued even slightly riding on the Hoosiers winning this game.

Oh I wouldn't actually bet on them winning this game, just hoping the football gods are paying attention this time around.

Looking forward to the WVU game tonight, but I'm a bit nervous about this one. I think WVU is the better football team, but on the road on a friday night in South Florida isn't going to be easy.

If Jarrett Brown is over his concussion and the offense comes out ready to play WVU takes this by a couple TDs. If JB, Devine, ect treat this game like it's a homecoming for them and the team isn't focused it'll be a tough game.

We damn well better beat 0-7 EMU tonight.

Though I do wonder how well it's going to be attended, given that it's Halloween night.

Dad just called and we are on for the game.

Man, I absolutely hate seeing those types of injuries like the one in the Auburn-Ole Miss game just now. Two players collide helmet to helmet, headlong, and one gets up, the other doesn't.

Zack Etheridge for Auburn. No movement, then they carry him out strapped down. He did give a thumbs up on the way out, but man, is that scary.

I put a nice chunk of change on Indiana since I thought a 17 point margin was a joke with the inconsistency of the Iowa offense, but I never expected them to win it. Keep it up Indiana!

Purdue beats Ohio State and now is getting annihilated by the Badgers. So close for the Badgers to have one loss this year, but that's quite all right, shit happens.

Computers love teams that are losing by 10 in the 4th quarter to Indiana.

Also, Case Keenum 26-32 304 3 TD's... in the 1st half.

Boy, Mizzou hitting on all cylinders today. Up 33-0 at Colorado and there's still 5 minutes left in the 1st half. If Mizzou can get out of this game with Gabbert managing to avoid any further injury to Gabbert, that would be fantastic.

And they blamed the Iowa defense for Indiana scoring 24 points. Stanzi has thrown 5 picks, they fumbled a punt inside their own 10, and their putner once punted it 9 yards. I'm not sure they're watching the game that closely.
