10 years of FOOL H Pitt. Pirates
10 years have passed since the Pirates have joined the FOOL-H. The Pirates have been very average, in fact they are have a winning percentage of .500, going 806-807. They have made it to the playoffs one time in 10 years. Here are my Pirates Decade Awards:
Best Draft Pick: OF George Stone(1902,5th pick in round 1) Stone has been the best Pirate since he was drafted. He is in the top 10 in nearly all offensive catagories. Best FA pickup: 3B Charlie Hickman(came in after the 1903 season) Hickman loves to hit the ball and over his career has a .342 AVG Best Pitcher: Toss up here, Cy Young played for the Pirates from 1901 till 1905 and went 98-87. He currently sits number 2 in All-Time wins for the Pirates. Earl Moore is number one on the All-Time wins list going 128 wins, but 130 losses. Joe Lake was drafted with the 8th pick in round one in 1907 and has quickly moved into 6th place on All-time wins, and has the 2nd best winning percentage.

Good stuff! I like this idea and will have to do one for my Beaneaters as well. Thanks cmldude! Stone was definitely a nice find for you, looks like the second best player from the 1902 draft in FOOL-H history. |
