Democratic pollster Dean Debnam said a Wake County survey in early September by his Public Policy Polling company showed that 61 percent of respondents opposed current Wake policies on diversity and student reassignments, with 29 percent in favor.

Nixon is one of those who lost in the election while supporting the current policy. What happened here was the Dems ran a poll, found numbers they didn't like, then hid them to avoid hurting their cause. Apparently they hid them from their own candidates
