You can play it on GameTap as part of a subscription. I'm not sure it helps but you could subscribe for a long time for $308.99.

I feel your pain.

I've been wondering why I haven't seen Luminous Arc 2 because I know they were releasing a sequel to Luminous Arc, which quickly became my favorite game in a long time.

Only to find they released it in November and I also missed out on the artbook available if you pre-ordered.

Granted, LA 2 isn't bad online. Only about $35-40 new, which is doable.

Then on a lark I looked to see what LA 1 was online at amazon.

$90.

Needless to say, I'm searching for my copy of LA 1 to make sure I don't lose it.

I can't think of any better fantasy empire builder games. AoW 3 would be a wet dream of mine.

Impulse has the original Age of Wonders for $5.99 if anyone is interested.

I highly recommend it to anyone who loves a good fantasy empire game.

Ooops sorry about that. Greyroofoo linked to the trilogy, but if you just want Shadow Magic, go here:

GOG are running a promo on the whole Age of Wonders line this weekend. 50% if you buy the three of them or 30% on any individual title.

thanks for introducing me to GoG...i say that with a positive and negative

the positive is that i found some games that i fell in love with years ago namely MOO2 and Arcanum and Jagged Alliance 2.

the negative is that i found those games and then purchased them and have to find time to play them

either way, i was like a kid in a candy store on that site...

Game play looks fantastic.. I've never played AOE, but I'm really getting into the 4x genre.
