Karl Malden, we hardly knew ye...

Karl Malden is now dead, contrary to the belief that he was already dead.

The streets of San Francisco will no longer be as safe...

I would have sworn he died from cancer about 10 years ago.

C'mon, what difference does that make when the guy is dead? Sounds to me like you're just being nosy.

I have a friend that was his niece. Apparently he was a black sheep of his family until he won an Oscar and suddenly his parents were very proud.

Hell of an actor and a nice guy to boot.

The thing I'll remember most about him is that my mom could never remember John Madden's name and always asked if I was playing "Karl Malden Football".

That's the one I was trying to remember. I kept typing alt.binaries.pictures.great-ass.karlmalden by mistake.
