Well, Adam Haskins netted one for me in the 7th minute, so that's not only my first of the season, but first of my career.

Arg. 9th minute here.

Ronnie Purdy gave the visitors the lead in the 9:th minute with 0 - 1. The goal was scored from the penalty spot after a handball call in the penalty area.

Err, I'm a wee bit confused now...I just glanced through the match report again and it said my team was running a 4-6-0 formation...I'm a little confused by that.

After some early confusion (which made me question my decision to try a formation that I am inadequate in and PIC the match), Bill Reiter broke through in the 12th minute to put the Spikes up.

Maybe the first yellow also for those goldurnears, as John Colvin was behaving in a decidly unsportsmenlike manner

Picked up a goal in the 15th minute by a guy I bought for $14 500 last night.

Now hoping that I can hold on with 5 defenders and 4 on the mid.

I think I might have gotten the first yellow card-
"Pavel Elefterescu of Louisiana received a yellow card in the 11th minute for unsportsmanlike behaviour."

My # 2 wingback...Do yellow cards in cup games have any effect on league games?

yellow cards in cup games do count, they are competition games, only friendlies don't count

funny how I seem to have the earliest goal, and can't get a second. did everyone else PIC also?

Oh no....the kiss of death!

Some fine manouvering on the left lead to an 23rd minute United goal, making it 0 - 2. Sheldon Ridgeway was noted down as the scorer. By now United were drawing the troops back in order to defend their lead.

My "all-out" coach has decided to go defensive after going up 2-0 after 25 minutes.

If we lose, his rear is fired...

How about first red card...

As Dani Mário Araújo had, completely unprovoked, swept the legs out from under an opponent in front of a linesman, the referee gave the Complex player a red card without batting an eye.

Fortunately, with the added space, my winger was able to break through to increase the lead to 2-0.

Well that sucks, live and learn I guess.

I did set 'em both to inner midfield, I thought that would adjust how far up and down the field they moved, not their actual position, that's a big oops on my part.

Could be a bad start to my Hattrick career, luckily as of now I'm still up 1-0.

Virgil Sharpe was just a finger´s breadth away from an equaliser for Vikings, but Bobby Ennis managed to ward the closing shot off for a corner.

Whew! As a former goal, this makes me very happy.

I thought it "may" cause you to lose your training for the week, besides, it's not a big loss, you only had one game this week...I had it happen with the Qwakers after two games...had two defensemen as mids...ugh...killed me.

You scored at least.

All right, up 3-0 now, and had another hit the crossbar, and down a midfielder. My defensive coach decides to pull back. I am surprised it took him this long.

The match is in progress, 38 minutes of the first half have been played.
Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and New Orleans Road saw a crowd turnout of 4748. Babylonians had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Brown - Moscoso, Carlisle, Wilkinson, García - Brannon, Fulton, Campos, Mccullough - Coats, Phillips.

Tomahawks tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players had been chosen: Blocker - Carrillo, Gardner, Pitts - Bethea, Roby, Richardson, Baggio, Adamson - Hooks, Crocker.

Tomahawks took the lead in the games 5:th minute with 0 - 1 after some elegant plays down the middle. Bill Roby was the scorer. Some fine manouvering on the left lead to an 7:th minute Tomahawks goal, making it 0 - 2. Major Richardson was noted down as the scorer. Tomahawks seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion about the organization of the team. Tomahawks increased the lead to 0 - 3 as Wayne Hooks scored from the penalty spot, putting the ball in near the top left corner. Fine winger Bryan Mccullough made one of his many passes from the wing into the middle in the 26:th minute. Garfield Coats went to the air and hit the ball firmly with his forehead for 1 - 3. Some fine manouvering on the left lead to an 34:th minute Tomahawks goal, making it 1 - 4. Irving Crocker was noted down as the scorer. The referee showed Babylonianss Roland Fulton the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.

oh yeaaaaaaaa who's the man lol

woot!! 2 goals in the 40th min.

After 40 minutes Maniacal put themselves up by 0 - 1 as Charles Eddy finished off a strike from the left with a real cannon placed at the far post. It was a hot and sunny day, and several players seemed worn out. Maybe this was why Marvin Noel found unusually much space for his snappy footwork. The away team´s Alexander Blanco took advantage of a mistake to the home side´s right in the 40:th minute increasing Maniacal´s lead to 0 - 2.

Scored twice in ten minutes, but it doesn't give the time of the first score. It is 5-0 right now.

My coach called to pull back defensively and then my team scores two goals in less than minutes to put us up 6-0 at the half.

Well the bright side is, I'm really dominating possession with my 6 Midfielders, I'm at 75% possession for the first half.

Hopefully they can keep that up, I'd settle for a 1-0 win with my screw up.

Who is everyone playing in Round 1 of the Cup anyway?

I've got a Division VI.737 Bot team..

Also, I'm wondering, what is the real difference in the way your team plays if you choose "Match of the Season" instead of "Normal"?
