Movies you can watch over and over again...
Back to the Future, I, II or III. They are on HBO all the time and I can watch them over and over and never get tired of them. The Bourne movies are right up there too.

Not a "movie", but whenever The History Channel has a Band of Brothers marathon, I watch it or leave it on as background noise. And I have the DVDs and sometimes have a Band of Brothers weekend.

There are hundreds of movies that fit the description. I'm watching one example right now - Hot Fuzz.
I'd start a list with stuff like Mr. Smith goes to Washington, Rushmore, Meet Me in St. Louis, and on and on. I need to stop there, or I'll be up all night.

Office Space, The original Star Wars trilogy, the South Park movie.
I *could* watch the LOTR movies any time but I prefer the extended editions so I have to budget a little more time for those. I have seen The Dark Knight 4 times, I doubt I'll ever tire of that either. On TV, I just finished watching The Wire, the complete series from start to finish a couple months ago, I've already started slowly re-watching season one again and will likely make another run through the entire series by the end of the year. |

Hmmm, can't really think of any. I don't usually care to watch most movies more than once and those that I do will usually only be watched every couple years or so.

Field of Dreams and the original Brians Song never get old.
Heartbreak Ridge is another one, my favorite Clint Eastwood flick. As far as a comedy, Happy Gilmore. |

ohhhh yeah. That actually should have been at the top of my list, but I haven't caught it on TV in quite awhile. Its really the only movie that I can't NOT watch. If I see it on, I don't care what time it is or what else I'm doing, I'm going to watch it. I used to have James Earl Jones' "people will come" monologue about baseball marking the times damn near memorized. |

Yup on all of these. I saw Office Space just today! Porky's Kung Pow Undercover Brother Shawshank Redemption The Goonies Head of State Shoot 'em Up 12 Angry Men Back to the Future (all of 'em) The "Thumb" mini movies (Bat Thumb, The Blair Thumb, Thumb Wars, etc) Dodgeball Harry Potter (all of 'em) Iron Man The Original Kings of Comedy Spiderman (yes even the 3rd one) Not a movie but The Twilight Zone (original series) is pretty kick ass, so is Flight of the Conchords. EDIT - I saw Monty Python and the Holy Grail once, but it's definitely the kind of movie I'd watch over and over again. Last edited by Lorena : 05-29-2009 at 05:26 AM. |

The first 2 that came to mind were Harry Potter & The Sorcerer's Stone and Empire Records.
Harry Potter (particularly the first one) is one of the movies that really relaxes me. If I'm having trouble sleeping, I can watch it and fall asleep more easily. I blame it on spending a lot of time recovering from surgeries while watching it. /tk

Yea after looking through the responses, a few more jump to mind. Seeing a trend with quite a few movies. Shawshank jumps right up there for me with BTTF. And Rocky, man, I lived off of these movies not that long ago. I remember they had a Rocky marathon on, well, I dont remember what channel, but anyhow, they would play Rocky I-V one after the other throughout the night for a week or so. I would get home from work or school, whatever it was I was doing at the time, and watch them every night. Funny thing is, with Rocky and BTTF, since I seem to watch them so much I find myself switching back and forth between which one is my favorite. |

That's a great pull, Arles. Very underrated movie. It's enough to see it for a young, very hot looking Heather Graham, so when you also get a terrific con versus con story with terrific performances by Gossett Jr, Woods, Platt and Dern, it's all bonus.
