Any interest in a media-intensive DDS:PB 95-96 On MP League?

A couple of guys and I from the DDS:PB MP league I was in for a while are going to be starting up one based on Nephrinn's 95-96 rosters and then most likely an edited version of La Tulipe's files.

Ideally we'd be looking at a fairly media-intensive league (i.e. articles) and the like, with discussion, etc... something to keep the league active and busy as much as possible.

We're looking at two days simmed each day (because trying to sim two games each sim is too hard with the staggered schedule), 5 or 6 days a week, leaning more towards 6 at the moment.

DDS:PB would be required, because first, I think you get more out of an MP league if you have DDS and second, given my position on the WS boards, it wouldn't look right if we had non-DDS owners in the league.

Not sure how much interest this'll generate, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

Most teams are available as of right now. The ones that are NOT are: Boston Celtics (obviously), Minnesota Timberwolves and Orlando Magic.

I wanted to give FOFC first crack after the two guys I'm starting it up with since I've known most of you longer and think you'll be active owners.

We're still working on it.

Since everyone's broke, we're going with a bare-bones forum setup on one of the free forum sites.

Once we have the basic rules and everything fleshed out and up on the forums, I'll post the link here.

To help make this happen if Izulde will take on people who don't own the game but WILL buy it I'll run some kind of one day sale once the league is formed to get you into it for $15 instead of $30. Just download the demo in the meantime to make sure it works ok on your system and everything. Once the league is full I'll do the sale for a day.

That's why I figured it would be more interesting for me. It will be interesting to see if I can rebuild my favorite franchise.

Sorry mate but i hate free forums as are usually full of ads etc so...

Looking at the interest generated by this league and the writting skills by Izulde, it could be a really fun and content rich league, so to help on that, i could host it and set up a forum (phpbb or similar). Also if you want, can also setup a blog software or portal like wordpress or joomla, to make things easier specially for news writting etc. Each owner could have his own blogging account to update his team news. All for free of course.

I'll just setup all that, but I don't want to do any commish or admin related work as i get tired easily and i have a bussy schedule, but at least i'll support the commish on managing the site, etc. Of course I will also write news for my own team and all that stuff like any other team owner.

I'd prefer just to have all the articles and stuff on the forums, though, so it's easier for people to read and comment. Plus it saves you time by not having to set up the software for the blog stuff.

Looks like the guy who made this mod has a few draft classes also so we can have real players in the draft for the first few seasons

We can actually have them for more than that with La Tulipe's draft files. They just need to be tweaked in terms of the intangibles.

Alright, I'm in.. I'm not a basketball nut, but I love me a good active league.. a tad bit worried about the pace, but with the summer creeping up and my "extra curricular" stuff slowing down, I want to try this.

And I've got draft classes for 1996-2005 thanks to La Tulipe's files. They'll be somewhat edited because the intangibles need work, but I've got a bloke doing that as we go year through year.

For 2006-present, I'll have to see what can be found, but we've got a ways to go before crossing that bridge.
