Blood Bowl Beta Announced, site opened..

I know I've made a proper git of myself with my fanboyism for Blood Bowl.. but they announced today that that they are taking registrations for a multiplayer beta to be released "soon" (for some value of the word "soon"), and that the main Blood Bowl site is now open.

BloodBowl

Awesome Awesome stuff. The beta of course, will be limited (humans v orcs at the human team's stadium), but I'm having a hard time waiting

Yup. I like all the action shots, all the different races looking ready for battle.. and the goblin one is a chainsaw wielding looney, laughing maniacally

If I am in the beta, I can neither confirm nor deny I am in the beta, due to NDA

very excited, does the multiplayer imply a GM type roll or is it intended to play each game?

We need to develop a code to discuss this game without violating any NDA.

I was grumpy, but now I'm happier this morning also.

So, is there a particular group that people that are happy can bind together as one?

heheh.

For those of us who may or may not be in the beta, we may or may not want to set up a private league, so those of us who may or may not be in the beta may partake against other FOFCers who may or may not be in the beta.

(re reads what he just wrote)

If I were part of said beta, I would be happy with such an arrangement.

Theoretically, if I were part of a certain beta, I'd be interested in a private league, as well.

I'm sure that someone, who may or may not be in the beta, will create a private league for other people who may or may not be in the beta, when they get home from work .. say, may or may not be in the next hour.

and hypothetically, the process is create team, leave public league, go to league search, find our hypothetical league and click apply, and enter the Hypothetical password (which should have been Hypothetical in the first place)

Hypothetically speaking, I may have actually received TWO e-mails with two different codes for the beta. Anyone else, in some kind of crazy hypothetical dimension, get the same?

SOMEONE I KNOW played the heck out of this on the weekend and was impressed to bits. THIS SOMEONE I KNOW was particularily happy that most of the folks THEY played obviously had never played fumbbl or the board game, and THEY spanked the pants right off 'em.

My hunch is that some people out there had trouble even getting a game started -- in a game like this, there's probably a lot of connection issues that need to be taken care of. But you never know -- I guess if there are problems like that, they may work themselves out, or get fixed somehow.

Pre-Orders are open now. The game goes live at 0:01 GMT+1 (6 days and 1 hour from right now).

For those that may or not be in beta, would you be inclined to maybe give a thumbs up or possibly a thumbs down?

Good to hear. I've got a friend that knows zero about football, but loves strategy games so I've been trying to sell him on the fact that you don't really need to know football to enjoy blood bowl.
