I created myself, and when I click "accept" on an offer - it doesn't looks like I get added to the squad. Doesn't look like it's sticking. grr.

Account creating does seem to be broken, but this looks like an interesting site to keep an eye on.

Ok, the same thing is happening on IE too. When I click GO to log in, nothing happens. I can't get to a screen to set my player's attributes.
Guess I'll jump on their forums and see. |

I joined. This game looks like it has potential and looks quite fun. There aren't many instructions on the site so I am just winging everything. I created a catcher and got a few AAA offers... Shreveport, Montpelier and Seattle. What is the deal with this? Should I accept one or wait it out?
How did some people get offers from the Major League? I don't want to be no minor leaguer, I'm a star! Also, I tried creating another player with no luck. Is it one per account? Last edited by JohnnyBGood : 04-29-2009 at 01:03 PM. |

Looks like one player per 300 points that you have, and you start with 300 points. Pitchers might be less though.

And, of course, when I try to go to the forums now, it redirects me back to the main page. I can get to the Points page to pay my money though. Glad they didn't break that link.

Is anyone thinking about buying a team? Trying to decide whether to take one of these offers or wait.
How can you tell if it's a AAA team or not?

Ah, I see. I got a USA Pro offer, and a USA AAA offer (2 from the same team that appear to be exactly the same)

So once you start training... you can decline all the offers you don't want (USA AAA) and it will immediately give you new ones (i.e. USA Pro) ones, that way you can pretty much pick the city you want to play in at this point of the game. Should we pick a city and all try to get on the same team or something? That would be fun.

How about the Manhattan Projects, since MikeVic got us started?
EDIT: I got tired of trying so I just took a contract with the Seattle Storm of US PRO league. There's another human player on that team so it should be more fun if we can get as many human owners on each team. Last edited by JohnnyBGood : 04-29-2009 at 03:20 PM. |

Ok, create a new user and now I'm able to create a player and do everything. Created a pitcher and will create an outfielder in a bit.
I'll try for Manhattan or Seattle, but if Chicago or Atlanta comes up first, I'm there. Edit: Just signed up for the Seattle Storm. Last edited by rjolley : 04-29-2009 at 03:56 PM. |

I signed with some Manhattan Projects team... not even sure if Pro or AAA, and I can't login now either. If I can't login tomorrow morning, they've lost me.

Wow. What is going on? Until about 4:00 PM EST there were about 50 users and 15 topics on the forums. Between the next 2 hours there has been a huge invasion of new users and new topics are flooding the forums at MMO baseball. It really is something to see how things like this develop from the beginning.

Looks like others are having the login problem and the developer is looking into it.

The login bug was corrected. It should work now.
I decided to take the plunge and buy the Seattle Storm. Ownership costs 2500 credits (about $16 bucks), and I am sucker for helping out Text-Sim developers (it's a tough buck). There actually has been a huge amount of interest in just a day, with about 10 other people buying ownership. I spoke with Ryan, the developer, and he is excited. I think this early show of support will really push him to improve the game quickly. As for players. I'd like to reserve the Seattle franchise to mostly FOFCers. So guys, join up (use my referral link ) and create some good ballplayers. Make sure you train them as "draftees" (or else it costs more player funds when you sign with a team to train) all the way up and set your attributes on the player screen. Once you have done that, post here, and I will offer you a nice contract http://www.mmobaseball.com/createaccount.aspx?ref=48 Last edited by JohnnyBGood : 04-29-2009 at 11:24 PM. |

I have Doug Moore, a P that should still be available to draft.

Oh - and my attributes are balanced basically between accuracy/arm strength - but my equipment is all geared towards arm strength.
