NOFL: Week 1 Mandatory Bye?
The RFL has successfully used a mandatory week 1 bye to speed up the schedule the last 2 years. I wanted to hear thoughts on having us adopt the same policy to speed things up.

Yeah, sounds good to me too. These seasons are dragging a bit (and I know that's ironic considering I was the one holding up last week)
EDIT - that being said, it only works if everybody is around and does their recruiting in under 2 days. We usually have a couple of guys (again, it's been me at least once this season) who don't get their recruiting in until the last couple of hours, even if they have a bye. Yeah I'm good with it. Personally I'm good with shortening the time for weeks. I've been lazy this season waiting until the last minute.
Personally, if I know I have five days, I might wait until the last minute. I can play any time usually so if I don't play the first day you know I'm just procrastinating. ![]() |

No problem for me. Will miss the ease of scheduling nearly anyone in that 1st week though.

I voted "no" but it appears that it doesn't matter. Honestly, what's our timetable look like for the rest of the dynasty? We're almost done with season 2 and NCAA 10 is 5.5 months away. I'm sure there will be some issues getting NCAA 10 dynasties going (seeing as the NCAA 09 online dynasty launch was 100% smooth
![]() There's also a (good) chance that NCAA 10 will be broken in some awful way (too many INT's, blocked kicks, or some other awful game-breaking glitch that EA can come up with). If that's the case, then I could see this dynasty going for another year. Hopefully NCAA 10 is an improved game and doesn't have any super-terrible flaws. |

Don't forget that there is a good chance that EA will disable NCAA 2009 online soon after the release of 2010.

Ugh. I'm hoping they wait at least 2 years.. will piss me off if they do that (unless they allow the importing of ongoing online dynasties.) |
