Make the rain stop!!!

Why couldn't this have been three days ago when it was 20 degrees? We would have been buried under snow but at least it would be snow.

I now see that someone got stuck right outside our home, the water has covered the road and is creeping up our lawn. Because my wife had to go out before I parked in the lot across the street and it is heading that way too with no chance of moving my car as the road is flooded. My wife's car is okay at the moment in our driveway as it's on the side of the house and the water problem is at the front of our house.

We went through major rain in the spring and had no issue at all. It got to where the warer was up to the grate on the drains in the road but the runnoff was at that level and rain which I thought would flood the street barely caused a puddle. I figured we had no issues but am now getting a little concerned. If it gets any closer I will start taking things off the floor (speakers, PS3, etc.. and hope for the best.

We could use a few positive thoughts in our direction though.

Someone down the road must have put their recyclables out for thr morning already, they just floated by. The water line is about a foot and a half wawy from a the coupld trees just past our walkway. Once it hits the trees it's pretty much flat right to the door.

The weather keeps teasing me, it slows down for about 20 minutes and then all hell breaks loose for the next half hour. We still have about 3 hours left in the current flood watch in the area. It would really be nice to see an hour without a downpour.

(Ignore the sob story Schmidty )

We just finished up with rain for about 35 straight hours here. Only about 3 inches total fell, tho.
