Haven't seen a thread and wondered if I missed it.

I'd be in as well.

Of course people could just send me presents if that's easier!

Joe usually runs it, but he hasn't logged-in in a month. Does someone else want to step up and be the facilitator this year? If so, I'm in...

Yeah I want in too, but who's gonna run it? And is there still time to get a list together, go shopping, ship the stuff by X-mas?

I think if we get everything together and get the items out, even if they aren't there quite by Christmas, the spirit of this 'event' is still there.

I have Tuesday off from work. If no one else wants to do it, I guess I'll do it then. I need everyone to PM me their name and address, as well as any gift ideas/themes they might desire. What cap do we usually put on the gifts...$20, $30?

I think last year was 30. Amazon wish list info is a good way to get ideas.

I'd do it, but I'm performing a one-man show this week and hopefully interviewing for a tenure track position, so I'm rather full.

I'll be in, thanks for handling it Jeebs. I thought about it but I am going to be super swamped with work this week. I have a a bunch of things that need to be done by the end of the following week and one fill day this week is a training class for yet another new product/requirement for us to meet and all next week I will be babysitting a client which leaves me the remainder of this week to get two weeks worth of work done. It's actually a very good thing that the WW game ended on Friday.

In other words, PM about to be sent.

Jeebs,

If you want to take part in the secret santa (not know who sent you the gift), I was looking around last night and there is a site - Elfster. Looks you set a data to sign up by and then it randomizes and emails you the person you are getting for. Might be worth a look if we can't find someone else to do the admin work this year.

Or we could have two people running it. Each could hand out half of the names/addresses and would have the other person's info in with their list. Just an idea.

In order to make this as simple as possible, I'll go ahead and do it all myself. It won't kill me to know who my gift if coming from...

I've only received PMs from two people so far! Get them in to me if you want to participate!

By wedding planning I assume you mean - 'busy with the fiancee showing me what she wants and I just nod my head in agreement'

If it helps your ego at all, when you mentioned what you were doing I was hoping you were my secret Santa just because I was hoping it was more Necrons to add to my army.

*laughs* you should look at my most recent Necron conversions then.

Photos of my Hobby

The Unit of heavy destroyers that merged with the grav tank turned out awesome, I need to seal it and take some final photos. I've also turned traitor and started a space marines mech force. I'm a sad sad geek.

Nice conversions. You don't see many Necrons that have any conversions done to them. I was wanting to do some Wraith conversions, elongate the tail and wrap it around a space marine or have it phasing out through a figure, but I put my Necrons to the side for now.. I don't like how my army plays with the new rules.

Was it badly damaged? I can probably repair it if you want to ship it back. I'm assuming the wings or tail snapped off. Unless its horribly mangled I can probably fix him up for you.

Yeah, I've always had issues with the fact that people didn't go nuts with the conversions of necrons. They seem so ripe for them. I have a large number of destroyers left over after filling in 3 units of 5, so I'm going to build them into a star shaped mobile cannon mount. I'll call it a unit of 5 or 3 or however many I need and have the cannons mounted with magnets.

anyway, sorry to threadjack =)
