2008 NFL Week 7, in Pictures... well, not quite yet actually

So, I've decided to try something different this week. The fact is that my free time has been somewhat (OK, very much) curtailed by the arrival, two months ago, of Mr. Baby Samuel.

Plus, it should be noted that most Sundays at my house now look like this:

As a result, instead of doing everything in one fell swoop, which has been somewhat stressful, I'm going to draw up cartoons as I can and post them during the week (as I have them).

Since I'm somewhat lazy, I'm not sure if I'll copy them all to a thread here on FOFC as usual, but they'll be up on the website (link below in signature) and the website also has RSS so you can find out when they'll be up.

Anyway, the first few should be up sometime tonight. I hope this new way of doing things doesn't lose me any fans. If you don't like it - let me know. I thought I'd give the experiment a go this week.

LOL!!! Precisely what my wife does to me!! Except, now we have a 2.5 year old and a 4 month old!!! Needless to say, there isn't much quality football time on Sundays anymore!!!

Oh well, that's life, I guess.

You have an 11-year-old daughter that plays World of Warcraft?

Two things that I found out in this thread, that previously I did not know.

1.) Flere is actually a not a he, but a she.
2.) She is married to that guy from PM Dawn.

Whatever it takes to make it easier for you

I'd prefer if you didn't post them all on FOFC until you're done. That way, those of us who get itchy trigger fingers can check out the ones on your website and generate a little traffic

Yup, and her play is monitored by me. She enjoys the game, enjoys the fantasy genre.

She has played a little WAR as well as Pirates of the Burning Sea but keeps going back to WoW.

Also, because she enjoys it, It becomes a form of leverage for us to ensure homework, chores and such are done before she plays.

Week 7, Part 1 went up last night during MNF (which I didn't watch until the 2nd half because the Tivo was recording Heroes for the wife - I need to get an HD Tivo....)

A Part 2 will almost certainly go up tonight, and there will probably be at least a Part 3 later this week.

Haha, I didn't mean it to sound as if I'm questioning your parenting, sorry if it came off that way. I was just curious if you did mean WoW. I don't think I'd be able to play that game well at age 11.

Ha-ha, love the Hines Ward/Commish stuff. Mashing potatos? lol. And the NFL came out and said Ward wouldn't be fined for that hit that took out Rivers much to my disbelief

Maybe because it was a clean hit.

I don't necessairly disagree, my disbelief was over the fact that given the recent fines for hits that drew no penalties in the game, that this one was not also fined

I did, in fact, managed to post Part 3 last night. That's it for this week, so I hope everyone enjoyed.

What do people think about the posting change this week?

Interesting comment from the league after meeting with Steelers that 77 of the 139 fines were few plays with no penalty flag.

Good news! I managed to get a link on the blogroll of The Fifth Down, which is the NFL blog for the New York Times!

It's not huge, but it's pretty cool nonetheless.
