Officially a homeowner
It took 6 months and a whole heck of a lot of stress and hard work but my girlfriend and I closed on our first home today. It is a new home in South Jersey in a nice little community. The most awesome thing is that our entire monthly payment will be less than what we currently pay in rent.
It comes not a moment too soon as our current apartment complex is getting incredibly rough. Just the other night someone was outside threatening someone with a hammer. Drug deals are going down in broad daylight and people are kicking down apartment doors and robbing the places clean. Needless to say we are taking 2 minutes to eat and have some coffee and are immediately beginning to move. |
