Johny Depp as the Riddler and Cher as Catwoman. I've never doubted Nolan before, but...

Cher's a good actress.

Obviously it's a different vision of the character than we saw in previous movies. They're not going to play her as sexy, she's just going to be evil.

Though is all just rumors right now

It's just rumors. I sincerely doubt that they would sign anyone to have a part in a movie where a script hasn't even be written and Nolan not officially signed on to direct it.

Do you have a link? I looked on IMDB and did a google search, but didn't see anything about that.

I heard he was tapping into the FOFC fanbase to sign the next villain too!

Its all speculation and rumor, and I also thought I read somewhere that Nolans version of the catwoman (if this will be one of the villains) isn't going to be the young hot as poop Pfeiffer or Berry catwoman but a more dark (as in non-cartoonish) and older version. From the article "He wants to her to portray her like a vamp in her twilight years." If that is the truth, it was probably opinion on the writer of the leak/column that thought Cher would be good fit or someone of that age. In any matter, all of these are simply rumors.

Until Goyer or Nolan release some statement or news themselves, I won't believe any of this.

Not if the character of catwoman is in her 60s.

It's not a remake of Batman Returns of the horrid Catwoman movie.

But do you think Cher could climb a wall? I can hardly imagine her cracking a whip, she doesn't have much more mass than it does. Cher playing a villain, okay, Nolan, whatever you say. But Catwoman?

Cher does lick her lips about as much as Ledger's Joker.

If she is Nolan's first choice, I would imagine Catwoman is planned to serve as a wannabe dark side mentor for Batman, while Batman tries to figure out a way to stop the Riddler.

Does "recent" mean something different in Brittish?

It looks like this is for real. Here's the teaser promo poster that's been leaked onto the Web. This is going to be amazing.

Eh, i don't doubt it will work. Should be an interesting portrayal of the Catwoman. Especially if they work in some backstory, maybe if she was Thomas Wayne's mistress or something like that.

I don't know why they don't ask Depp to play the Joker? If their is any actor alive who can atleast do a respectable job it would be him in my opinion.

Probably because joker wasn't expected to be IN the next movie? I agre with you on Depp's ability however. I think he could pull it off, but not in the next movie, people would simply cringe at comparing heath and Depp so closely one after the other.

As for Cher.

ICK.

just fucking KILL it already, thats not a real woman anymore its...its something created in a lab or something. its gross.

They could even tie in the cher fountain of youth angle back to ras Al ghul. Maybe catwoman has had 9 lifetimes and is now rapidly deteriorating due to ras being dead. He was supposedly 500ish years old though it wasn't in the movie
