The era of tinkering is over

Monday: Last chance to resign your own players, Sim to start of free agency (Trade window begins at the end of the regular season, except for FOOL Classic teams.)
Tues night: Sim to December 1st
Wednesday night: Sim to pre-season, Draft lists available. (March 1st)
Thursday night: Trade deadline, Draft is conducted, Run Spring Training (no fatigue on), sim to opening day (trade window ends)
Friday night: Last chance to export (set lineups/depth charts, last chance to export before start of new season)
Saturday-Sunday: Season simmed. (After the sim is simmed, a file is released to give FOOL Classic teams a chance to fix their lineups before the playoff is simmed. Anyone may begin offering extensions at this point to their own players. Another file is released after the FOOL Classic, 24 hours after the season is over.)

Here is the sim schedule.

As for the rules, here's what we have.

- No injuries
- No coaches and scouts
- 154-game season, with no inter-league play
- League champs play in best-of-nine game FOOL Classic (home team rules apply)
- DH only in the RL (as of 1967), CL remains a no-DH league (as of 1964)
- $65 million salary cap
- $32 million cash maximum (to match the same amount as media money)
- 25 man rosters at all levels

Playoff shares (as of 1971)

Champion: $10 million ($400k per player)
Runner up: $5 million ($200k per player)
2nd place teams in each league: $ 2.5 million ($100k per player)

The tinkering is finished. What we have, is what we have. Things have become far too "dramatic" for a league that's supposed to be "breezy" and "fun".

We'll vote on prospective changes from here on out and we'll always have a discussion in a separate thread before we vote.

I want people to be able to keep up with what we're doing and I want people to enjoy themselves and only to bitch about things like trades, etc.

Ultimately, I want folks to enjoy themselves as we have an excellent stable of passionate owners. So...the tinkering is done, unless you all get a tinkering streak.

Not to messy up this thread, but the portion on the FOOL Classic should be DH follows the home teams league rules for DH.
