Another candidate for dumbest criminal of the week:

A 30-year-old woman was held on $25,000 bail following her arrest on charges of drug possession and driving under the influence.

Police said Deanna J. Joseph, of South Maple Avenue, was arrested around 7 a.m. Sunday after police found her in a vehicle parked in a Citizens Bank parking lot.

She was taken to Virtua Memorial Hospital and while receiving treatment at the medical facility, she allegedly attempted to smoke crack cocaine in the restroom of the emergency room. Further charges of possession of crack cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia were also lodged against her.

Following her discharge from the hospital, she was taken to the County Women's Detention Center.

Back when I worked at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, drug usage in the restrooms of the emergency room (the regular one not the psych one) was very common. Officers usually arrested at least one person every night for that exact issue.
