On a Whim (Vegas in January)

So, my ridiculously early planning friend, whose birthday is Jan 14, got us going out to Vegas Jan 13 - 17. After some shopping around, we actually got an extremely cheap deal for the trip. Harrah's right now has some amazingly low rates on hotel rooms for that stint, and it's certainly not a hotel I mind being at.

Anyway, it's a million months away, but what the hell. Anyone wanna plan a vacation around a fellow FOFC'r?

Not going back that soon to Vegas (we just came back a month ago, though we are going back), I would recommend Austin's Steakhouse in Texas Station. It's off the strip, but man, the steak their is excellent. I would recommend the ribeye. One of the best steaks I've had. Don't know if that was the norm for them or if it was a lucky night, but it was worth the drive to find it.
