I didn't see this over the weekend (Ping: radii)

Hey man, forum fascist Ben E locked it before I could say hey on the big thread:

Awkward 2008 - Front Office Football Central

Come over and talk sometime in teh lougne and hang with us, man. Hope it all works out for you - that's a lot of crap you have had to put up with.

(Just kidding about the fascist crap - I heart Ben E in a normal hetero way)

I'm not actually clear on what the point of locking the original thread was. The tone was civil and did not appear headed to any kind of flame war (although I guess there was some potential for that).

I don't have a problem with a thread offering support to a forum member who has talked about having had a hard time. Folks just need to keep it civil and as positively focused as is possible. That had become impossible in the original thread.

Radii, hang in there. Knowing how my mother went through identity theft, I know how this can bring up some serious trust issues and I hope you can somehow get past that in future relationships. In other words, I hope it makes you more aware/careful and much less jaded with people in general. Good luck. I really hope that things get resolved soon.

You're the man Radii. No reason you can't vent at FOFC just like anyone else, just because your ex-wife hangs around for whatever reason.

Perhaps someday FOFC membership will find its way into a divorce settlement.

That can be considered respectful as well, once you point the the geography lesson you are giving them, based on the map of Hawaii that you made on their stomach or lower back.

I think what people are meaning when they say "You are the man" here, is that they feel he has been a big man up until now by just holding this all in, not making a big deal about something that obviously did bother him and obviously was upsetting him greatly.

I think it basically is alot of people's way of saying that he took the high road up until now and that makes him a much better man then they could have been.

I don't think it has anything to do with being sexist or sexual superiority.. at least that is not how I read most of the statements.

When someone says "you're beating a dead horse", they're not actually suggesting that you're inflicting violence upon a deceased horse.

And so forth.
