The Official 2008 NFL Season Thread

I've been waiting since February to see some NFL action. Tonight the Colts and Redskins kick off the pre-season.

Looks like Sorgi has won the job as Manning's backup considering they took him out after one series. If you're trying to make the Colts, I think the general rule of thumb is the less you play in the pre-season the better chance you have of making the regular season squad.

I wonder if there has ever been a bigger QB tandem that Jared Lorenzen and Quinn Gray on the same team? If they can't decide who is the 3rd string at the end of camp, they should just have a hot dog eating contest...

I hope the state of ohio explodes. I'd watch this game, but I have a passionate hatred of canton, OH so much so that I can't stomach watching

Or move the loser to DT to replace Pitcock.

Probably neither. The Colts haven't kept more then two quarterbacks for years.

Colt Brennan looked good last night vs. the Colts' 7th string D.

It's roughly the equivalent of the average WAC conference defense, so it shouldn't be surprising that he looks good against a similar defense.
