Can you use your cell phone as a modem? We have T-Mobile and are able to do this. I've seen the instructions in my phone manual, but have never actually tried it.

Dude, you're living in an "extended stay suite" (I don't know what it is, but it sounds pretty swanky), you just got back from Las Vegas a couple of weeks ago, and now you're renting a house at a vacation spot? Can't you just get your butler to hook up some internet for you?

Dial up?

Hell, why don't you just hire one of us to read webpages over the phone. Would probably be quicker.

Have you checked to see if your regular ISP has a dial-up number for cases like this? I know with at least one of mine there were numbers that were local for any location they served that you could use while away from home, typically with a limited number of hours available for free (I think my limit is around 20 hours/month).

I wish, extended stay suite is basicly a hotel room with a kitchen, not swanky at all. We are stuck here until we close on our house on the 14th

No problem. I've used my Mindspring/Earthlink "back up number" (or whatever the heck it's called) a number of times over the years and I'm pretty sure there's a similar version for me as part of my BellSouth DSL account too. It's ostensibly meant to be a backup thing in case your higher speed service goes out but it can be used for vacation/travel purposes with some ISP's as well. In the case of a primary DSL with a dial-up backup sometimes you have to watch out for using the dial-up while the DSL is active which can trigger a moderate fee.
