It's a poll now MJ.
I'll admit it took me until about 20 to really enjoy some good iced tea, doused in sugar of course. |

I just can't drink a hot beverage, I just don't get it.
I feel I'm not really "drinking" it, I have to sip at it, be gentle, like I'm making out with the drink. No fun. |

Of course are you talking about iced tea or hot teas? Hot tea snobs will tell you iced tea is just cold piss. Of course, they will say it a much more snotty way. But that's the meaning.
I grew up on iced tea and still enjoy it. Sweet tea was the only tea we would drink in my youth, then in my teens I switched to Equal to go easy on the calories. Eventually I weened myself off sweetener completely. If I'm at a restaurant, I almost never add sweetener. At home, I go with Splenda probably 2/3 of the time, use real sugar if I'm out of Splenda and go unsweetend the other 1/3. I cannot live without my Iced Teapot. Greatest beverage invention ever. As far as hot teas go, it took me until about six months ago to enjoy a cup of hot tea. Just never cared for them. A friend of mine made me a nice cup at Thanksgiving that I really enjoyed. I can't for the life of me remember what it was, but I think it had a touch of vanilla, which certainly helps. |

I'm a big fan of iced green tea with honey and lemon. I'm trying to make it my substitute for soda. I just can't quit soda though....

Iced tea is the best...1/2 sweet and 1/2 unsweet is my favorite, though I can drink it sweet, but never unsweet - blech.

Yeah, I can't drink iced tea unsweeted. Just not a good taste.
My wife says that she's never known of restaurants in New York to serve unsweet tea. I call bullshit, but I let her think they all had sweet tea there. Also, it's interesting that, according to wikipedia, green tea was the sweet tea of choice until WWII, when they got black tea from India and that became the staple. Don't know if it's true, but it is interesting. |

Prefer green tea to regular tea, and I'm a fan of iced tea on very hot days.

love iced tea. Don't care how its made, I love it. Sweet Tea is the greatest thing ever, and needs to be brought north.
I don't drink much hot tea during the summer, but love it with a little lemon and honey on a cool day.

After living in Atlanta since I was 7 and basically growing up on sweet tea, I made the mistake of ordering it at a restaurant in Chicago once. The waitress looked at me like I had a 3rd eye on my head and said, "uh, I can bring you some ice water and a tea bag, or hot tea and a glass of ice, but we don't have iced tea". I laughed and ordered a Coke, just seemed easier. Of course all they had was Pepsi but it was still better than their version of iced tea I'm sure |

To extrapolate on my answer... usually always hot tea. I like black teas, but will enjoy a green or white tea from time to time.
Hardly ever drink sweet tea. Too much fucking sugar.

I recently switched from bagged tea to loose tea. The difference is absolutely amazing. I used to enjoy a cup of tea from time to time, but now I downright love it.

People mentioning iced tea I can just about cope with, but, even though iced tea is not tea, this comment is too much! Treating Earl Grey like this is like taking a fillet steak and smothering it in ketchup - it's destroying the beauty of the taste. Sugar's OK if you prefer it like that, but with Earl Grey and other fine teas, NO MILK!
