Opera Browser: WTF
So I've been trying out the newest version of Opera because A) it had been awhile, B) Firefox 3 has problems with some of my igoggle widgets, C) I like the speed of Opera and always have.
Anyway, I had figured out how to adblocking, figured out how to change the behavior of tabs how I like them, and was just settling in to starting like the damn thing and then: BAM It won't do ANYTHING. No matter what page I try to go to, it just sits there. Doesn't even TRY to load it. What the hell? I've turned off all firewalls, I've cleared all temp files, caches, cookies. Nothing. I have no idea what to try next. I've done web searches and found nothing, I've looked through the KB on Opera's home page, nothing. Anyone with the slightest clue? |

Opera v9.5 is the latest version? Could it be any other plugins that you have on the browser?

I've had the same thing happen to me with Firefox and it was because I was using a proxy server for some reason.

Got it! Hours of browsing the opera forums and googling random re-wordings finally found someone with a clue. Somehow the adblocking filter list got a * in it (I don't know how) and that means block EVERYTHING. Sounds logical. Fixed it.
