how do you post a youtube video in a thread?

Look to the right of the video on the YouTube page, and there is a line that says Embed. Copy and paste this into the thread.

Just a note that not all videos have this. There is an option for the submitter to not allow embedding of their video.

You can get the Danny Glover video to embed if you stare into a poster of Patrick Ewing at midnight of the Spring Equinox and say "Pumpy Tudors" three times while you have an Oral B electric toothbrush strategically placed.
