Sort of. No more than a 4th that turns into a 3rd due to performance incentives, however.

Thanks for deleting the thread while I was replying

Anyway, Taylor is definitely worth a 3rd or 4th for a team that is a contender. I could justify using a 2nd as well. He's pretty comparable to Strahan IMO and Strahan is 3 years older and still playing at a very high level.

I don't think Freeney will be the same at 34. He's undersized, he has a season ending injury this year and he's a pure speed rusher. I don't think he has the reputation for working out and keeping himself in unbelievable shape like Strahan or Taylor do either although I could be wrong.

Both of these players are studs at DE, but I would take Taylor in his prime because he has proven himself for a longer period of time. I may change my mind in the future, a lot depends upon how Freeney does for the remainder of his career. Also, Taylor has never had a serious injury, while Freeney has one this year. Only time will tell.

that was my point about comparing Freeney at 34 with how we see Taylor playing at 33 these days... So many things can happen in seven years of football that it's almost impossible to know how Freeney will pan out.
