The Tournament of Rick: Rnd 1 - RUBIN vs CARMICHAEL

From the Potpourri Bracket, it's the first round matchup of the guys I couldn't find matchups for!

The Matchup:

Rick Rubin

Frederick Jay (Rick) Rubin (born March 10, 1963 in Lido Beach, New York) is an American record producer and is currently the co-head of Columbia Records. He is given credit for merging rap and heavy metal (now known as rapcore), as well as the "American series" albums with Johnny Cash. MTV called him "the most important producer of the last 20 years." In addition to being a producer, he is a musician serving as the original DJ of the Beastie Boys, and a head of a record label, co-founding Def Jam Records with Russell Simmons, and later founding American Recordings. In 2007, Rubin was listed among Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People in The World. Rubin was recently appointed as co-chairman of Columbia Records. Rubin has won 7 Grammy Awards.

VS

Ricky Carmichael

Ricky Carmichael (born November 27, 1979 in Clearwater, Florida) is a former professional motocross racer, now transitioning to a stock car career as a development driver with DEI, mentored by Mark Martin. Ricky holds the all time record for wins and championships in AMA competition. He has 150 wins, and has never lost an outdoor championship. He is unquestionably the most dominant racer of his generation, and the only significant records he does not hold are Most 250 Supercross Victories and Most 125 National victories. Ricky Carmichael has raced all major Japanese bikes except Yamaha. He began his career with Kawasaki. Carmichael then made a controversial jump to the Honda team. After three years of dominating performances on Honda motorcycles, Ricky switched to Suzuki. Other major sponsorships include Monster Energy, Fox Racing, Oakley, Pro Circuit, DC Shoes, and Makita tools. He is the highest paid rider in the sport with an estimated annual income of over $10 million US.
