The FOFC Keeper League - 2007 Season

Post your keepers in this thread. Just as a reminder.... we are allowed to keep 1 QB, 1 RB and 1 WR/TE.

The schedule is revised, as we don't have access to our site at the moment. We will stick with what is posted below. If the site isn't up yet as of the start of the draft, we will use this thread to start the draft. If there are any problems with this.... let me know.

Quote:
Upcoming schedule:

August 10th - All keepers are due, leaving five days before the draft to set a preference list. I will start a new thread once we have access to the site where the keepers can be posted.

August 13th - Draft starts with a 12 hour limit per pick. The draft clock will be active from 10:00 AM (EST) until 12:00 AM (EST).

August 20th - Draft continues with normal draft rules... Two hours per pick with the clock active from 10:00 AM (EST) until 12:00 AM (EST). You are encouraged to setup a draft list as the Sportsline "robot" tends to favor QB's.

Draft Order and Rosters can be found here.

Oy Vey, some tough decisions....

QB Cutler, RB Gore, WR Smith

That means that Trent Green and Manning will have career seasons, Addai will be the first person ever to run for 6,000 yards and 49 TD's in one season, only to come in second this season to Colston who scores 50 TD's.

Siddiqui keeps:

QB: John Kitna
RB: Willis McGahee
WR: Randy Moss

Tough pick in RBs, but Portis is having his knee act up and Betts (also on my squad) may take some carries.

Looks like the website is good to go (Thanks HB). The keepers will be processed sometime Saturday morning, so anyone/everyone can make a draft list.

Can we put together a list somewhere of the relationship between team name and FOFC name? I'm always forgetting who owns which team.

I also can't find anywhere on the league site for stats like career win %, or the playoff results (who was 1st, 2nd, and 3rd)?

I'm a little worried that SI won't get his keepers in tonight. He hasn't been on the board at all this week. Any opinions on keepers for the Houston Hippopotami?

Brady/Westbrook/Fitzgerald..... right?

I'm going to be traveling on Monday and won't have internet access until late Monday night...what is the best way to approach this little dilemma?

I've done a little poking around on the site and I see that there is an autopilot on but can I set to only pick a set number of times...like once or twice? I mean, I have no problems set it to pick my first pick as a ten player list is easy enough...but I'd rather be around to pick in the second round...if I had my choice. Am I worrying about this for nothing...has your draft typically gotten through several rounds on day one?

Thoughts...advice??

The draft doesn't start until noon and you have a 12 hour window when your pick comes up.... so you have nothing to worry about.

Sorry about the delay guys. As I had said in the 2006 thread, I was in Houston last week. Those keepers would have been who I had picked. Unfortunately when I went to try to make keepers before I left, I couldn't find the rosters anywhere as CBS was down. Anyways, back now so it won't be an issue.

I had every intention of grabbing Thomas Jones with the 4th pick, but seeing as he just got banged-up... I passed. Now I get to suffer through Jones-Drew's sophomore slump.

Drafting RBs seems to have gotten harder from my first "regular" stint in fantasy football (only a few years ago) compared to now. I don't know what it is... maybe I'm just more educated now and so I see more problems in RBs.

SH!# It's one of the sites that is blocked by my work and my internet was knocked out at home this morning by landscapers. Is there any way the commish can pick for me if I give a name?

Otherwise, I'll have to hope that my internet is back up by tonight when I get home from work.
