Who will win the NCAA College FB Championship this year?

I think it would be hard not to include USC on top the list. They have so much talent again this year and their defense this year should be much improved.

Oklahoma should be very good as well as long as they can get production from the QB position. I think they are starting the year with their scout team player of the year at QB this year.

LSU is another team that has a lot of talent with only a question mark at QB. They play a pretty favorable schedule this year with not having to play 1 team on the road in the top 20 this year. Of course the SEC is so tough nothing is really a sure thing in that conference.

With this in mind, I am voting for the Sooners just because I cant vote for a Pac-10 team.

USC's defense is going to be one of the nastiest in the nation with 10 returning starters plus a former starter in Pinkard returning from injury. The group of linebackers might be USC's best ever. The offense will be better with an offensive line that is more experienced and more talented, a QB who has a year of experience under his belt, and a stable of very good to great backs. The only question is whether Patrick Turner, Vidal Hazelton, Travon Patterson, and the rest of the WR's can deliver. From the video I've see of some of the practices, I think the answer is going to be a resounding yes. If that is the case, I think USC goes undefeated and wins the National Championship.

Split champions is highly possible this season. I can see the following teams going undefeated LSU, USC, Michigan and Iowa. Of the 4 I just named USC and LSU are the 2 favorites to take home the title this season. I have Iowa as my darkhorse team along with Miami to take home the title. While it is nice to see my beloved Seminoles being mentioned I don't think we will be in contention until next season if we show improvement.

If they could consistantly hold teams under 30 points they'd be right there. There offense should be unbelievable and Chase Daniels is the man. They were borderline to make the list of contenders. I wasnt aware of all the Mizzou fans. Sorry!

They were real fortunate it seemed last year. They have more talent this year but a repeat will be tough for them I am thinking with FSU and VTech improved. Nice story last season though.

I think it would be beyond awesome if:

Hawaii goes undefeated
Everybody else loses at least 2 games

That's right, USC fans. Go ahead and plan your coronation in August. Meanwhile, Colt McCoy is running up and down the stairs of DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium with a telephone pole tied across his shoulders...

well, it worked last time, didn't it???

Heh. You should see some of the USC practice videos. They are doing plenty of work even if us fans aren't

In a similar vein, look for me to open up voting for the FOFC College Football Top 25 poll in a couple of weeks.

Not making any promises, but I hope to have the voting be web-enabled this year. The plan is to be able to see how you voted in previous weeks, and show the results of games played. I'm maybe 20% done with it, and hopefully will get some extra time to work on it this week.
