Survivor FOFC Question of the day (28 Feb)

In yesterday's challenge, ardent enthusiast "tricked" Schmidty into helping out the Dolamites. This may have helped Schmidty come within one vote of being eliminated.
The question is, do you think that ardent did this on purpose, and, if so, was it ethical?

i don't think there was much trickery going on yesterday. This is a message board, people discuss things. Schmidty is still around. It's all good

Ardent was just being a team player And yes, I think it was very ethical. This is Survivor, anything goes.

maybe Schmidty was dreaming about his wife when he started dry-humping Ardent's leg?

OK, here's my side of the story.

It's true, I did "trick" Schmidty into helping us.

I think in a FOFC Survivor game, you have to stick to your guns. Every contestant in the DH tribe could have posted the worst Tennessee football comments ever, they could have posted the best topic ever, or they could have posted some bad things about me in general, and I wouldn't have answered until someone won. Not Coffee Warlord, not heybrad.

There's no way in the world I'm going to help another tribe win immunity, and I'm shocked that someone on the DH tribe did post in ours. Good for us! Dolamites rule.

Yeah, I tricked him. He said Rushmore was his favorite movie. It's not my fault he posted there in the first place. It is my fault he posted twice. But then again, he didn't have to answer. He should have realized what he was doing.

Was it ethical? All is fair in Survivor. The tactics were available for both tribes. I replied to our threads to encourage reaction. Was that wrong, was that ethical? Sure it was ethical.

I totally screwed up yesterday not because I was tricked, but because I was having a busy day and wasn't paying attention well enough. That was my bad, and I apologize to my teammates for that. I'll make sure it doesn't happen again.

I have a request for stkelly. Could we please have a set time for when the immunity challenge will take place? Life is crazy right now, and I just don't have time to keep refreshing the screen. I really don't want to miss another challenge because of schedule problems.

Thanks.

I think part of Survivor is having unexpected things arise. Scheduled times does not seem to fit with that.

I also see nothing wrong with what Ardent did. I know I tried to help my fellow tribe member's threads by replying.

When I think about Ardent, I think: The Force is strong in this one.

Why not? On the actual show, challenges and tribal councel are at the same set time. The real challenge shouldn't be "How long can I camp out in front of the computer?", it should be "How am I going to do on this challenge?".

I plan on doing a variety of things. There actually are going to be some challenges that I tell everyone when to meet and others when it will come like a theif in the night. This challenge I felt could be done randomly because it could be fullfilled by just 3 tribe members. There will be some where most of the tribe must get involved where speed is everything, and on those I will let you know when.

Nothing wrong with a little trickery. As many others have said above, anything goes. If I ever get a chance to trick a Dolamite you better believe that I'll jump at it...

Though its all already been said, not unethical, and hooray for ardent for being able to get someone from the other team to help fill out his thread The thread I started didn't hit 10 replies until 14-18 hours later, but I was trying to followup to all my team members threads to encourage more discussion too, all's fair in love and Survivor!

I think we are giving the Dolamites too much credit. Its clear Schmidty just didnt know the challenge was taking place. We all talked about it back in camp and we are a united tribe. I guarantee you that when it comes time for the challenge where we eat bugs, Schmidty will be there and he'll eat a big ass cockroach.

LOL.

It's even funnier when you read it as: "Schmidty will be there and he'll eat a big ass-cockroach."

Is an ass-cockroach related to a dung beetle?

I really need to get more sleep.
