You should have closed this poll after the first minute. The Eagle would have been out.

Judging by how this poll is going, I doubt either has a chance in hell to beat Zeppelin in the final.

So, for the last round, are all of the members of the groups that got kicked out going to come back and ask questions of the remaining two groups, and then vote?
Is the final poll going to stretch to 48 hours instead of 24 to milk the ending in one over-indulgent and unnecessary spectacle? Are we going to have an hour-long "retrospective" discussion about how the voting went from round 1 to 9, complete with a psj... (sorry, this is off the top of my head - the Nirvana guy) and AnrBucc mudwrestling contest? I mean, if we're doing this, we've got to do it right!

1:04 pm, CST, Thursday (24 hours from when it was posted). When it says "this poll is closed" on the line right above the poll, the poll is closed. It's set to 24 hours from when it started.
Hopefully this will nip things in the bud. |

Is this really happening? I wouldn't mind seeing the Eagles go down before Def Leppard in an effort to clear the way for LZ, but seriously...the Beastie Boys?
Edit: Weren't they the #2 vote getter in the second and third rounds?

No, I don't like 80's rock. This poll was slanted towards it.
There were no current bands except for No Doubt and Creed. |

That was an unintentionally funny answer, as I believe their last album before "hell froze over" was 1980, and they didn't record again until the mid-90's. So, as a band, they were essentially inactive during the 80's. Hotel California, which I'm sure you know, was around 1977.

For all of you asshats voting for the Eagles as a strategic ploy to insure that Led wins, I just wanted to inform you that I have created an alliance that will destroy Zeppelin in the finals.
This alliance, at my command, will vote for the Beasties to win it all unless they are eliminated now as they should be. Your fate is in your hands. Muhahahahahaa! |

By the way, this was never intended to showcase the best groups of all time. It was only designed to have a variety of artists from different genres and different time periods. Sorry if the rap representatives turned out to be white. I will make sure to feature a more recent artist in the rap slot next time around.
