Here are 3 that come to mind:

1. The contest
2. Soup Nazi
3. The one where Kramer catches illegal lobster
4. The one where Seinfeld can't remember his girlfriend's name, but knows it sounds like a female body part.

I like:

The Airplane (Jerry sits next to a supermodel, Elaine goes through hell, George heckles a mass murderer)

Man Hands/Forbidden Woman city and the Merv Griffin show come to mind as well.

I can't believe The Bubble Boy hasn't been mentioned yet.

It would probably take me a couple days to decide on an appropriate Top 5.

Classics....all of em. In my haste, I didn't put mine down...

1. The Contest - genius that everyone knows what's being talked about but it's never really said. Could have been even better had they got JFK Jr. to be on the show for the last scene.

2. The Merv Griffin Show -- you get that plot line, along with The Sidler and Jerry's girlfriends toys, and George hitting the squirrel.

3. The Dealership -- still one of my favs.

4. Kenny Rogers Roaster -- the way the switched Kramer and Jerry was classic.

5. The Marine Biologist. The whole episode is just a setup for one great joke. The first time I saw it I laughed for just about 5 minutes non-stop.

We kept telling my grandparents about this funny show called "Seinfeld", and they should try watching it. The first, and only, episode they ever saw was "The Contest".

"The Letter" was another classic episode. That was the one with the painting of Kramer.

I loved the exchange between the art enthusiasts looking at the portrait:

"I sense great vulnerability. A man-child crying out for love. An innocent orphan in the post-modern world."
"I see a parasite. A sexually depraved miscreant who is seeking only to gratify his basest and most immediate urges."
"His struggle is man's struggle. He lifts my spirit."
"He is a loathesome, offensive brute. Yet I can't look away."
"He transcends time and space."
"He sickens me."
"I love it."
"Me too."

The "Hamptons" - shrinkage, breathtaking, and lobster is probably right at the top for me.

Festivus - the "Human Fund" is an underrated part of this episode as well.

Been a long time since I've seen it so am not sure of the title (maybe it's been mentioned and I don't recognize it) but I like the one where Mel Torme sings "When You're Smiling" to Kramer. Mel thinks Kramer is mentally challenged and sings to him at some banquet.

The Keith Hernandez two part show, with Roger McDowell and the "magic loogy".

Cashmere sweater.

Are three that come to mind.

I would throw in the Puffy Shirt episode and the one where Goerge is trying to save the Frogger game that he has the high score on. Oh yeah, the ASSMAN episode is great too.

That's actually one of the episodes that I don't like much (well, both episodes). I don't know what it is, but when I see it on I might actually change the channel.

Don't foget about the one where Elaine tries to help George cheat on an IQ test and George gets coffee and a sandwich by going out the window.

That's the pakistania restaurant one.

Honestly, if I wanted to I could name every single episode and why it could be a candidate for my top 5. That's why the show is great. Even the bad episodes (plot wise) had certain scenes that could be viewed as classic. Every episode rocked in some way.

Except the ones with Kathy Griffin. Those could be burned from existence and I wouldn't bat an eye. Ugly bitch.

Actually the one where Kramer stops talking was funny with her in it.

The problem with compiling such a list is that every episode I see in reruns I find something incredibly funny about it but i'll try in no particular order.

The Heart Attack - George thinks he's had a heart attack. The doctor tells him otherwise, but he might want to get his tonsils and adenoids removed. Elaine is interested in the doctor and he is interested in her tongue. George not wanting to deal with the cost and the procedure decides to take Kramer's advice of going to see a naturalist, which only makes the situation worse.

The Boyfriend 1 - Jerry meets Keith Hernandez and wants to make a good impression. Meanwhile, George is out of time on his unemployment and he works harder than ever on his scheme to get a 13 week extension. He tells the unemployment office he was really close on Vandelay Industries, a company that makes latex products and whose main office is Jerry's apartment. Kramer and Newman hate Hernandez back to a time when they were allegedly spit on by him; however, Jerry supports the "second-spitter theory." Keith asks Jerry about Elaine's status. Keith makes a date with her and breaks a date with Jerry.

The Boyfriend 2 - George tries two more approaches with the unemployment officer. Kramer gets Jerry to accompany him to see a former neighbors' new baby, "you got to see the baby." Though he's gone out with Keith once, does that mean he must help him move. Elaine and Keith are hitting it off until he pulls out a cigarette. George wants to sleep with a really tall woman. Keith supports the "second spitter theory." Jerry and Elaine both breakup with Keith and George might get his wish.

The Parking Space - Kramer tells Jerry about something his friend Mike said about Jerry being "a phony." After borrowing Jerry's car, Elaine comes up with a wild story, because the car is now making a strange clanking noise. George gets into a confrontation with Mike about a parking space in front of Jerry's apartment. Everyone one the street debates about parking etiquette.

The Contest - George's mother is forced to hospital after she throws her back out when she falls down after catching him doing "you know." When George says he'll never do it again, Jerry challenges him to a contest of being "master of your domains", when he accepts, Elaine and Kramer want in on the action, or rather the lack of it.

I've been wanting to list my top 5, but I think I'm in the camp that says that every episode had a hilarious moment that I could spend all day going through my list. Here are some generally funny things I haven't seen listed yet...

1. MANDELBAUM, MANDELBAUM - I loved the part where Kramer and Newman where making sausage

2. Any episode with Jack Clompas - "Take the pen"

3. Any episode with Uncle Leo - the one where he's stealing books from the library in particular... "I'm old, I'm confused." Or the store employee... "We have a 51-50 in paperback. All units respond. SWARM, SWARM!!!

4. The one with the Elaine manequin - When Jerry and Elaine stole the manequin and are in the car... "I got a hankerin for some Doublemint gum."

5. The Parking Garage was already mentioned, but I love them trying to explain the urination in the garage. "... because I have uromysitysis and could die!"

I agree that every epiosode is classic, but there are a few that get me to change the channel. The 100th epiosde clip shows, the finale, the two-parter where they film and then show their tv show, the edward scissorhands one, and most of the season 1 stuff.

Now my favorites at the moment (they change about every rotation)...

1. The comeback "Oh yeah, well I slept with your wife... His wife is in a coma"
2. The gum. "Why go the park and fly a kite, when you can just pop a pill?"
3. The library. Any bookman quote.
4. Merv Griffen "Scandals and animals"
5. The maid "You're a john"

Baby Shower/Illegal Cable - Two things were going on in this episode and the most hilarious moment is the dream sequence as Kramer tries to get away from the authorities and is shot down.
Library Cop - I don't know what the title is called, but Seinfeld forgot to return a library book and this library cop is on the case.
Soup Nazi - "No soup for you"
Man Hands - Definitely a ridiculous sketch.
The Pick - Seinfeld scratches the side of his nose as his girlfriend passes by in a taxi and she thinks he is digging deep. Same episode where Kramer poses for Calvin Klein.

Ahhh... it's impossible to pick a favorite episode, but that one probably has my favorite exchange, with George and Jerry frantically screaming PC dogma at each other while realizing that the two-way phone malfunctioned.

Very upset George: "Not that there's anything wrong with that!"
Very upset Jerry: "Of course not! What two people do in the privacy of their bedroom is nobody's business but their own!!!"

Gold, Jerry. Gold.

Retroactive funny goes to the pre-OJ trial Joel Rifkin exchange, where Elaine is extremely excited about the name "OJ" as a replacement for Joel Rifkin the serial killer.

I think one of my favourite exchanges (always makes me at least chuckle) is the "back up, beep beep beep" exchange between Jerry and George.

I think Jerry is explaining something to George about the tractor incident, and then George says something like (while motioning backwards with his hands):

George: "Whoa whoa whoa, back up a second. Beep beep beep."
Jerry: "Beep beep beep?!?"

Hahaha.

Classic.

Kramer kills me with his reactions. My favorites:

- The famous reaction to realizing his face "looks like an old catcher's mitt" from all the smoke. "Look away...I'm hideous!"

- Looking in the mirror and realizing he has only shaved half his face, thanks to a kick from Joe Devola.

- Unquestionably the best...his facial expression after saying "I rolled over in bed and cut her leg with my big toe."

I'm glad someone mentioned the Puffy Shirt one, that is definitely in my top 5, but my all time favorite is the Soup Nazi...the one where Jerry is dating the girl with 2 faces is also great, don't know what that one is called though...

A lot of people don't like this one but I like it...The Backwards episode.

Also the Chinese Restaurant is one people might not like that I love....Seinfeld...4!

I love when Jerry has no idea who the woman is who recognizes him. Also George's rant when the guy won't get off the pay phone and then is all nice to him when he hangs up.

Some of my favorites:

1. Soup Nazi - Nuff said

2. The Junior Mints - "Who's gonna turn down a Junior Mint? It's chocolate, it's peppermint -- it's delicious!"

3. The Marine Biologist - "The sea was angry that day, my friends, like an old man trying to send back soup in a deli."

4. The Handicap Spot - "Boy, I'm really starting to dislike the Drake. Hate the Drake!"

5. The Boyfriend - "One thing is for certain, that was one magic loogey."

People really don't like that one? One of my faves.

That episode was the one that seemed to lead the "this show can be about anyone" charge.
