IWS #150: Celebrate the Anniversary - RESULTS POSTED!!!
Hello and welcome to the 150th I'm With Stupid! I won the 49th and 149th games, so watch out when number 249 comes around!
For today, I wanted to mix some easier questions with some more difficult questions. Remember, just pm, me with yer answers and more detailed rules are after the questions. This game will end at 5 pm EST Friday the 2nd of March. IWS has always been a game about the questions, and this is no different. Here we are, and good luck: Name a food that is yellow Did you like Titanic? Name a breed of tropical fish you might find in a pet store How old were you when you first had sex? Name a star in the sky, other than our own Chutes or Ladders And the super special 150th question: If you were married to your spouse for 150 years, what would be an appropriate anniversary gift? The Rules The rules are the same as previous FOFC Im With Stupid" Contests, as set forth by the games widely revered and most truly beloved founding fathers. The object of this contest is to answer the questions posted, and to provide the most common answer among those submitted. For each question, your score will be equal to the number of people who submitted that response. Your score for the contest will be the product of your individual question scores. Yes, that means they will be multiplied together, not added. Highest score wins. No collaborating in any way. No posting your answers to this board, nor sharing them by e-mail or in any other way with other potential contestants. All determinations of "matches" and anything else requiring judgment fall to that of the sole administrator of this round of the game. You can reduce the need for doubt and judgment by properly spelling your submissions, being clear, and that sort of thing. My decisions are final and inarguable. Whining or otherwise making a nuisance of yourself gives me license to reduce your score to zero, and make fun of you and/or your loved ones in public. Any references that are unclear to you, due to language or geography, should be understood to be authored from the perspective of an English-speaking American. However... Your answers do not necessarily have to be correct in order to score points. If I ask "what is the trickiest punctuation mark?" and you and four other people responded "commas", you each get five points, period, even though the correct answer is "apostrophe's." ******************************************************* The Hall of Heroes Ahbrady - IWS#15, IWS#41, IWS#85, IWS#100 Airhog - IWS#1 Albionmoonlight - IWS#30, IWS#50, IWS#101, IWS#127, IWS#146 Anxiety - IWS#49, IWS #149 Archer219 - IWS#18, IWS#100 Arctus IWS#135 Ardent Enthusiast - IWS#6 Atatange1 - IWS#79 Barkeep49 - IWS#62, IWS#100, IWS#117 bbor - IWS#23, IWS#26 Bearcat729 - IWS#82, IWS#93 BishopMVP - IWS#36 Blade - IWS#13 BrianD - IWS#106 Bryce - IWS#40, IWS#53 Buccaneer - IWS#47 Butter_of_69 - IWS#128, IWS#144 Bsak16 - IWS#6, IWS#9, IWS#17 cartman - IWS#48, IWS#100 Celeval - IWSE146 Chief Rum - IWS#45, IWS#56, IWS#95 Cornhuskerly - IWS#46 Crim - IWS#57 Cthomer5000 - IWS#54, IWS#75 Cuervo72 - IWS#27, IWS#38 Dangarion IWS#100, IWS#122 Desert Dweller - IWS#6 Desnudo - IWS#88, IWS #120, IWS #137 Digamma - IWS#14, IWS#92 DukeRulesMAB - IWS#76 Dutch - IWS#90 EagleEye11 - IWS#54 EagleFan - IWS#41 Farrah Whitworth-Rahn- IWS#126 Frozenrope - IWS#86 George W Bush- IWS#80, IWS#84 Glengoyne - IWS#71 gold101 - IWS#63 GoSeahawks - IWS#64 IWS#131 gstelmack - IWS#116 Hammer755 - IWS#38 HeavyReign - IWS#23 Henry296 - IWS#12 Honolulu_Blue - IWS #129, IWS #144 HornedFrogPurple - IWS#10 JeeberD - IWS#44, IWS#52, IWS#61, IWS#87, IWS#91, IWS#110, IWS#138, IWS #141 Jesse Ewiak IWS#100 Joe Canadian - IWS#29 John Lynch - IWS#10 kingfc22- IWS#75, IWS#123, IWS#140 kurtism - IWS#79 KWhit - IWS#142, IWS#147 lighhousekeeper - IWS#125 Logan IWS#100 Maple Leafs - IWS#34, IWS#84, IWS#94, IWS#113, IWS#118, IWS#139 Marmel - IWS#8 Masked - IWS#22, IWS#30, IWS#31, IWS#33, IWS#100 mauboy1 - IWS#77 MIJB#19 - IWS#59, IWS#69, IWS#117 Msf518 - IWS#11, IWS#15, IWS#35, IWS#39, IWS#100 Neuqua - IWS#19 NoMyths - IWS#46 Noop - IWS#46 Nothingman - IWS#6, IWS#45 ntndeacon - IWS#81 Oliegirl - IWS#72, IWS#81 PackerFanatic - IWS#130 Panerd - IWS#3, IWS#84, IWS#89, IWS#107, IWS#120, IWS#133 PineTar - IWS#108 Pjstp20 - IWS#42 Primelord - IWS#11 Pyser - IWS#85 QuikSand - IWS#9, IWS#16, IWS#18, IWS#24, IWS#32, IWS#58, IWS#66, IWS#70, IWS#73, IWS#78, IWS#83, IWS#93, IWS#100, IWS#103, IWS#111, IWS#132 Qwikshot - IWS#5 Radii IWS#100, IWS#106 RadioFriendlyUnitShifter - IWS#81, IWS#97, IWS#99, IWS#124, IWS#134 Ramzavail - IWS#53 Raven Hawk - IWS#68 IWS#96 RendeR - IWS#6 RGunner - IWS#121 rkmsuf - IWS#145 RonnieDobbs - IWS#37 RPI-Fan - IWS#9 sabotai - IWS#143 Samdari - IWS#21 ScottVib - IWS#9 Solecismic - IWS#83 spleen1015 - IWS#98 SplitPersonality1 - IWS#4, IWS#104 Sterlingice - IWS#28, IWS#31, IWS#35, IWS#51 Subby - IWS#107, IWS#110, IWS#112 Sublime 2 - IWS#25, IWS#134, IWS#148 Suicane75 - IWS#109 Swaggs - IWS#2, IWS#35 Tasan - IWS#65 ThunderingHERD - IWS#114, IWS#119, IWS#122 Timmae - IWS #115 Tredwel - IWS#6, IWS#9, IWS#20, IWS#43, IWS#67, IWS#84 TRO - IWS#7, IWS#9, IWS#12, IWS#85, IWS#102, IWS#109 tucker342 - IWS#60 Vince - IWS#37, IWS#46, IWS#62 Wbatl1 IWS#105, IWS #136 Whar - IWS#75 Wheels - IWS#55 WSUCougar IWS#105

I thought about playing, but I just wasn't comfortable with the questions. I mean, I remember when I co-won, and it was explained to me you need to give the players options on the questions, not a yes or no. Nothing against you, Anxiety, but if the questions were more open ended I'd be in.

Okay, we had THIRTY-ONE entrants! Awesome! Now let's look at the questions:
Name a food that is yellow. I thought that the answers here would be between lemons, bananas, and corn. I would have selected lemon, since a color is typically named after it, thus making it more obvious. Here is how the answers broke down: Banana 15 Corn 11 Twinkie Scrambled Eggs Mac & Cheese Potatoes As you can see, Bananas and corn were at the top, and my answers would not have even been found. Bananas won. However, if you answered corn, you were not out of the running. Did you like Titanic? Unlike the previous question, this one I would have answered yes, simply because so many people did like it. However, this board answered truthfully and the answer reflect that: No 20 Yes 11 Name a breed of tropical fish you might find in a pet store I really liked this question. However, two of teh highest answers were not even tropicial fish. Grr. If I had to answer, I would have thought one of these three: either neon tetras or angel fish or bettas. Let's see how they broke down: Goldfish 8 Clownfish 8 Betta 6 Angelfish 5 Neon Marlin Tetra Okay, a few things. Clownfish are saltwater fish and goldfish are coldwater fish. Also, a few of you pm'd me this, "Beta" not this, "Betta." The fish's name is pronounced "beh-tuh," not, "bay-tuh." It's not a greek letter, its the actual name of the fish as given by natives. All of the top five scores had to answer one or the other in this. How old were you when you first had sex? I woulda gone 16 here, with 18 a close second and 21 my third option. The scores pretty much reflected my intuitions: 15 2 16 11 17 6 18 10 19 20 As you can see, 16 or 18 were the top getters here. You had to get one of these in order to be in the top five scores. Name a star in the sky, other than our own I woulda gone for the obvious North Star here. Let's see what happened. North Star 9 Alpha Centauri 8 Sirius 5 Betelgeuse 2 The Sun 3 Andromeda 2 Moon Mars There was a run on Sirius late in the game. Other than that, I honestly think Alpha Centauri was the result of the computer game and Civilization. The second highest score did not take one of the top two choices here, interestingly enough. Chutes or Ladders Pick your choice. Chutes 19 Ladders 12 Pretty simple and hard to spin. And the super special 150th question: If you were married to your spouse for 150 years, what would be an appropriate anniversary gift? This was a good place to pick up some points late if you said the right answer. Otherwise, it was just a question. The winning entry got two point here. Coffin/Casket 6 Guns and Bullets 2 Sex or Hot Monkey Sex 2 Diapers or Depends 2 New Teeth Motorized Cart Gold An Island coffin Jewlery Platinum Ring with a Large Diamond Divorce A Day Off From Me A defibulator Copy of Maximum Football Viagra The World dick in a box Diamond 150 Flowers a cyanide pill Another Year New Teeth Death Okay, top five coming up next

That being said, I'm pretty sure the last question would have sunk me. I would have swept the rest, though.

As the person who did IWS 150, I'm making an executive decision. If KWhit does not have one up by Monday, I''ll do 151 so we can continue the games.

In the past, if the winner never posted a new one didn't we pass the honors to the runner-up? I say that if LSG wants to host the next one, she should be able to.
Either way, lets just get this sucker up and running again!
