Cool FOFC Musical Survivor, Volume I, Rd. 1

Here's a new game for FOFC. It's loosely based on the show Survivor. We'll start off with 10 musical entrants from different musical styles and time periods, and will have a daily vote off. Do you vote off the group you truly hate the most, or the one that poses a greater threat to winning it all? It's your choice! Hopefully this will be fun, but who knows. Anyhow, here are the entrants for the first volume of FOFC Musical Survivor. I tried to pick a variety of groups, but know older 80s acts better than current music. Good luck, and may the best group win!

The poll will close in 1 day.

Please, no voting under multiple IDs. We want a fair game!

Also, it might be more sporting to not view the poll until after you have voted, but that is certainly an allowable thing to do if you'd like.

Thumbs up

Though my heart told me to vote for Nirvana, I chose Creed for Round 1.

How funny, I thought for sure Kodos would cover Nirvana so I voted for Creed.

Imagine Creed's humiliation if they are outlasted and outplayed by The Backstreet Boys?

Two down, nobody on, no score, bottom of the ninth,
There's the windup, and there it is, a line shot up the middle,
Look at him go. This boy can really fly! He's rounding first and really turning it on now, he's not letting up at all, he's gonna try for second; the ball is bobbled out in center, and here comes the
throw, and what a throw! He's gonna slide in head first, here he
comes, he's out! No, wait, safe-safe at second base, this kid
really makes things happen out there. Batter steps up to the
plate, here's the pitch-he's going, and what a jump he's got,
he's trying for third, here's the throw, it's in the dirt-safe at
third! Holy cow, stolen base! He's taking a pretty big lead out
there, almost daring him to try and pick him off. The pitcher
glances over, winds up, and it's bunted, bunted down the third
base line, the suicide squeeze is on! Here he comes, squeeze
play, it's gonna be close, holy cow, I think he's gonna make it!"

How can anyone on the FOFC board, no matter how much they hate Creed (for whatever reason), NOT vote out Backstreet Pricks first. I mean, are you all, like, 13 year old momma's boys, or what??

To be honest, I would rather listen to the backstreet boys than Creed. That is how little I like Creed. Could the singer be any more full of himself?

Had to vote for Backstreet Boys. I would have voted for Creed, but I really like their first album. Everything since then has been crap, but the first one was good.

Gotta keep Shania around just for her looks...
Meatloaf...well...ummm...I guess he's better than the Backstreet Boys...

Everything else I pretty much like.

Wow! So far the Eagles are bulletproof. I'd say it's too early to predict Creed, because who knows where all the Backstreet voters will go in round 2.

Since my dream of removing Creed first failed miserably, I will now turn my attention to Meatloaf. In fact a more suitable death for Creed would be to make the finals and get spanked.

I dont even know who No Doubt is heh.

All I want to know is who in their right mind voted Led Zeppelin off before either Creed OR the Backstreet Boys? Or Meatloaf for that matter? Come on guys, that's poor...

I can't speak for the others, but I hate Mr. Cobain, and think that he was a whiny little punk who helped an entire generation feel sorry for themselves. The only song of his that I like at all is "All Apologies."

I don't even know who Nas is, and I'm sure Tupac would have been killed off early.

Maybe they can be in Volume 2.

Basically, no matter who I picked, somebody would be unhappy that their favorite was left out. I tried to cover a variety of groups. Sounds like the Beastie Boys may be your best option in this case, even though they are in a different school of rap than Tupac. There will be other rounds, and I would be glad to hear people's suggestions. I can't imagine Tupac making it very far.
