we do beef tenderloin, yorkshire pudding, peas, mashed potatos.

alas i dislike meat unless it's thoroughly cooked, so i always opt out of the tenderloin and go with just the side dishes.

tasty!

Yesterday we had Turkey and dressing, sweet potatoes, green beans, and turnip greens(for my grandfather, I don't think anyone else at them). Today was steak, twice baked potatoes, and a salad.

The turkey/dressing was actually catered by a local food place that's *really* good, mom cooked the veggies and sweet potatoes but really isn't in the best of shape and probably shouldnt have even done that.

We had pork roast stuffed with an apricot, pecan, and bourbon stuffing, mashed potatoes, broccoli, butternut squash, and salad. Desert was a chocolate flour-free cake of some sort, I was too full to eat that (though I did have some after-dinner coffee).

I must confess that I don't like pork (I did try it tonight because I was quite interested in tasting the stuffing), so I had some meat pie leftover from last night, but dinner was all in all still good (now after dinner...).

We had what has become our standard Christmas dinner for about the past, let's see, I guess 7 or 8 years: Steak & loaded baked potatoes.

Salt Mound Prime Rib Roast, Cheesy Garlic Mashed Potatoes, and Balsamic Vineger Green Beans. After that, we had a Dutch Apple Pie.

Yes, I did all of the cooking, and it was fun and delicious.

We had turkey, mashed potatoes, corn, cornbread, and our daughter made a nutty cranberry-mandarin sauce. For dessert, I made bread pudding with leftover homemade bread with gogi berries and nuts, topped with whip cream. Came out cinnmony and tasty.

We basically have a Thanksgiving redux: turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green bean cassarole, sweet potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, rolls, etc.

That sounds great! (Okay, the Turkey Gumbo part does, Mac and Cheese isn't a Christmas dinner, unless Christmas falls on a Thursday. )

For us, we deep fried a turkey with a hot bbq sauce marinade.

The Mac and Cheese was primarily for the non gumbo eaters which were a few of the young kids.

we had Thanksgiving, Part 2 because my oldest daughter wasn't at home for Thanksgiving and wanted turkey and all the fixins.

While it was good, it was also a gigantic headache. I think next year we'll do Chinese.

You are formally invited to eat over whenever you want..

I despise green bean casseroles.

As for our dinner, since we hop all over the place I haven't eaten a regular meal in 3 days. I'm sick of ham sandwiches, shrimp, cheese and crackers and cookies. Every damn place we went..

Open presents, eat a ham sandwich.. open presents, eat a ham sandwich..
