Marc:

I know this has been asked before, but I'm not sure of the final answer. Will their be a US distribution of CM4 at the same time as the Europe release? Or am I better off preordering it since I want it as soon as it's released?

Also, where in your humble opinion should a Yank preorder this game?

Finally, will their be a strategy guide?

I am curious, is there any preferred site I can order from...? I don't care about deals, free shipping would be nice, and I fear it's already backordered...

Americanized version? That scares me a bit... I don't think I'll ever play in an American league.

American distribution - still under discussion I'm afraid, no idea if it'll get sorted out in time for the games initial release date.

Americanised version - we've got an 'American' translation in the game which people can either use or ignore as they desire ... this simply uses American terms such as Roster etc.

Thats a great idea about Americanizing the terminology!

Somebody made a joke in another forum I frequent about how the beta-testing must for CM4. He suggested that all testing was done in-house and that the testers were sniffed by dogs and put through an x-ray machine and metal detector upon exit of the premises.

We aren't doing online ordering this time around so as they say 'any good retail outlet' should be fine

We're advertising a few of the main online retailers and their deals upon sigames, hopefully one of them will suit you.

I'll look again, Thanks Marc for taking the time...

btw...I know you probably don't know this...but if I did order from the States, would I expect the game in like 4 to 6 weeks? I look at a few sites, most don't do overnight, some were vague on out of the country shipments...I fear I'll order it only to wait even longer...I should just fly over and grab one...

I just think you stutter.

From my experience, you can order from GB and get the game in about a week.

Heh - you can always tell when something is sold outside of England, its always marked 'Great Britain' .... no one inside England refers to us that way any more .....

Back to the serious point, mail order normally takes between 1-2 weeks in my experience between England and America (depending basically upon luck from what I can tell).

Gameplay.com is highligted on the Sigames website as a 'retailer of choice'. I ordered a previous version of CM from them and received it in the US in just under two weeks.

I'm not sure though with the initial release of CM4 whether they'll give priority status to shipments within the UK.

I ordered a previous version through Gameplay as well, and had no problems. I got it between 1-2 weeks after release. Pre-ordered for CM4 with them as well.

I've ordered two versions of CM from specialreserve.net without any hassle so I've already pre-ordered from them.

Thanks for the info Karim, but it's not a good sign that I'm getting a "cannot find server" error for freereserve.net.

One note on Gameplay (which is preventing me from pre-ordering): the website doesn't appear to allow you to ship to a different address then your billing address.

Not sure what shipment method they use, but I prefer to have things shipped to work since UPS won't drop things off at my apartment.

I ordered 99-00 and 00-01 from specialreserve.net and got them quicker than I thought I would. I switched to Gameplay.com last year, and it took twice as long, so I probably will be ordering with specialreserve this year.

I just placed my pre-order on Amazon.co.uk. Just one of the few advantages to living in Brussels. There are others... Good, cheap beer and food. Close to lots of places that are inifinitely cooler than Brussels. Yeah, that's about it.

For those of us who live in America:

Does anyone know if these places deliver using UPS, Fed Ex or the USPS. My school only gets USPS deliveries for some reason, and most of these places make me use my billing address, which is my school.

Is there anyway to send them to my home like 30 minutes away, or anyway to know if these places deliver using the good ol US Postal Service. This was a concern last year as well, but my card was at a different address then.
