Help with game recomendation
Buddy of mine who lives in DC and I are looking for a game we can play online. Needs to be PC. We would like to get either a sports game or a turn-based strategy game. Any suggestions?

Alright...any others? He does already have Civ IV...I've played Civ III but didn't like it at all compared to other games which is why I'm a bit wary.

I've seen this game and HOI II. Which is better? How involved/deep is the game? |

HoI Doomsday is a full game, but it's an addon to HoI II.
It's Psuedo real-time, but since you can pause the game to issue orders at any time, it's also psuedo turn based. And..er.. it's deep. REALLY deep.

If you're not wanting to play Civ IV because you didn't like Civ III, you might want to reassess. The two games are honestly not alike at all. Totally different game. I didn't like Civ III, but I play Civ IV all the time with friends. |

Neither is it multiplayer nor is it particularly good. Space Empires IV. |

I disagree, I think it is an excellent single player game. Space Empires IV is bogged down with too much detail and micro-management. Plus Version V is coming out soon. |

I enjoy SE IV, although I can see where some would say it is too much detail and micro-management. However, I absolutely agree with the other part of your statement - Gal Civ 2 is an excellent single player game. |

SE IV has incredible depth, and my patience is slim. Doesn't make for a great combo. Gal Civ 2 was easy to pick up and play. You can add the detail as you go, which helps in understanding how to play the game. I will still try SE V when it arrives. |
