80's Workout Music

So I was watching South Park yesterday and Joe Esposito's "You're the Best" made an appearance. You know, the song that played while all the miscellaneous crap guys were knocked out of the tournament in first Karate Kid. I downloaded the song and got to thinking that I'd like to make an 80's Workout CD. Now I need help determining some other worthy songs. I've already got this Rocky sountrack which has some good stuff on it already, including Eye of the Tiger.

Any suggestions?

Would this be for lifting or cardio? My suggestion is to fill a backup up with as many 50lb plates as you can, load up your ipod with Samantha Foxs Touch Me and start running.

other obvious choices, especially if you are going to exercise in a loincloth while lathered up with oil:

Animotion's Obsession and Olivia Netwon-John's Let's Get Physical

Well damn, my list is a tad different...

Disposable Heroes
Necrophobic
Wake Up Dead
It's a Secret
Kill As One
Caught in a Mosh

The trick is to get your heartbeat up to the bpm of the song.

Hmm, I like Obsession...yeah, I could work out to that.

Maybe some Billy Idol (To Be a Lover, White Wedding. Dancing With Myself, Cradle of Love), Eurythmics (Would I Lie To You, Missionary Man). You want uptempo here if you're doing anything cardio (if you're lifting, you should be going heavy metal). Some Robert Palmer (Simply Irresistible, Bad Case of Loving You, and Get It On w/Power Station), Robert Plant (Hurting Kind, Your Ma Said You Cried, Tall Cool One), Walk this Way (DMC). Maybe even a little Duran Duran.

I can't believe some of the suggestions here. Do some of you actually know what "workout music" means? Some of the songs listed are so limpid and lame that they are the opposite of workout music. Or were you just thinking of whatever 80s songs that pop into your head?

On the other hand, cuervo's list is good.

Oh, forgot Peter Gabriel. Songs like Big and Steam have a nice steady pace too. Kiss that Frog sometimes, but has a slower part in the middle.

(and thanks Bucc)
