OT: If you like Hollywood Mogul:

I am a big fan of Peter Molyneux (Black and White, Populous etc). His company, LionHead Studios, is making a game called, "The Movies" which looks very similar to Hollywood Mogul. Here is a link:

http://www.themoviesgame.com/

While I purchased HM at its $9.99 bargain price and enjoy it, I think it has a long way to go to be a "great" sim.

I am expecting TheMovies to be a deep and addicting sim.

Looks interesting, but there doesn't seem to be much movement in it since November, from what little I can gather from their forums.

Nice!

I thought about spelling it out, once I typed the initials and realized their significance. But I'm too lazy.

I think I read about this game a few months ago... but I forgot about it.

It looks to me like it's going to be a great game. Usually with this type of game you worry that it will turn out to be just another "tycoon" game (ex. Rock Manager). But with LionHead Studios, and Peter Molyneux behind the game I think this won't be a problem with "The Movies."

While HM can satasfy me for now but, if "The Movies" compares to others the developer has made in term of gameplay and depth, I'll be first in line for the new game!

Thanks for the reminder .

Inexpensive, but not cheap.

Heck, it's got so much potential, it could be the next BLACK & WHITE.

Er, um, oh yeah.

I bought Hollywood Mogul a long time ago...and while it was fun...it wasn't near being great. Can't wait to see Peter's game...it might be 2006 before we see it knowing Peter Molyneux...but it will be good.

Normally, I call a spade a spade. But, with Peter M. I am a bit hypocritical and I give him a break. Yes, Black and White bit the weenie, but his concepts are light years beyond everyone else and his games open new territories for others to populate.

I know that sounds non-sensical, but it is hard to explain.
