Eclectic Games Installed
I have a bunch of games installed that I play or am willing to play at a moment's notice, and I was wondering if this was normal or not. Here's my list:
RPG: KOTOR KOTOR II Morrowind Online: Ultima Online Star Chamber Magic: The Gathering Sim/Civ: Civ IV Colonize SimCity 4 Master of Olympus - Zeus Age of Wonders II RCT RCT 2 RCT 3 Tropico Tropico 2 RRT 3 SimGolf GalCiv Text Sims: FOF 2k4 FM 2k6 TPF FBCB New Star Soccer The Political Machine Sweeping European Epics: Rome: TW Medieval: TW EU2 CK Strategy: X-Com: UFO Defense X-Com: Tales from the Deep Jagged Alliance 2 Freedom Force vs. the Third Reich Evil Genius Sid Meier's Pirates! The Ur-Quan Masters (previously known as Star Control 2) Simple Quick Play Games: Magic Ball (A Breakout type game) Mille Bornes Mahjongg Super Bounce Out HeroQuest Alchemy Super Collapse II I just deleted Heroes of Might and Magic IV in anticipation of V's release later this year, Warcraft III, and Half-Life 2. Is this an unusual number of games to have installed and ready to go, or is this just par for the course? -Anxiety

Thats a lot more than I have installed, but I probably have a dozen or so games on my computer right now, and I've really only played one in the last six months, so I know where you are coming from.

I usually have a dozen games or so installed, but I don't usually go into the three versions of the same one... Civ 3 goes when Civ 4 goes in, etc.

I have lots of games installed on my PC, but the only one I've played in the past month has been Worldwide Soccer Manager 2006. I just installed Galactic Civilizations II, and I have Crusader Kings sitting here ready to be installed, but I just haven't gotten to it yet. I have too many games and not nearly enough time to play them all.

4 years later, my games have changed around a lot, but with a new computer, I'm now sitting on 42 in my games folder, an additional 24 in my small games and hidden objects folder.

I don't have a console system and I have no games installed on my computer.
The only games I play are on my iphone in short moments of time where I have nothing else to do.

You have 66 games loaded...how frequently do you bounce from game to game?
I had a full hard drive crash earlier this year, so a lot of what I had evaporated in an instant. The only 'old' games I have reloaded and spent any time with are Railroad Tycoon 3 and Pirates. Neither accounted for more than a handful of hours. I have such a limited amount of time to game -- 2 hours on a really good night -- that the Next Big Thing has generally come out by the time I get bored with the last Really Big Thing. It doesn't leave me a whole lot of time to revisit my old collection. I do find myself thinking about them from time to time...generally when you start a dynasty up with a game I used to enjoy. |
