I love my parents

They just gave the fiancee' and me a check for $5000 to help with the wedding costs for Christmas. And that amount doesn't even include what they're giving us for the honeymoon...

Mom, Pops...I love y'all!

I always thought parents were *supposed* to pay for weddings. Sounds like they're getting off easy.

I think technically, the wife's parents are supposed to pay. At least, if you go by tradition.

Edit: Of course, in some cases that is impossible. For example, Mrs. Eaglesfan's parents couldn't afford to pay for our very small wedding so my family helped pay for most of it.

I payed for the gas to the Judge's chamber. And a few years later I even got a wedding ring. No parents help needed and it was easy as pie.
