That's crazy at those prices. 5.1 surround system that you can't drop? I already have one.

Thanks. I would've gotten one if I could "make" my own package.

FWIW..... I got a call, and the local Target will have 18 stocked when the store opens today. If you're looking, today is probably the day to find one.

The price they show assumes you get the three Microsoft games and the core unit.

If you want premium and any third-party games, the cost of the bundle jumps over $1k.

Yowza.

This is why I wait a minimum of a year before I even consider buying a new console.

On a side note, at lunch I picked up a Premium System today at our Post Exchange in addition to Madden and the Play and Charge kit. Best thing about it was that I didn't have to pay tax. Worst thing about it is that I still have to work this afternoon.

You must have gotten lucky, I've heard that they are the hottest toy of the season.

Thank God for the Play & Charge kit, as it allowed me to soldier on to the end of Call of Duty 2 last night, but those things are a bitch to unplug from the controller when you're done.

Thanks for the tip. With 25 hours of playing, that isn't too bad...not great, but not bad.

I dunno. Thing to keep in mind is it rumbles.

Nintendo Wavebird gets 50 hours, and has no rumble feature. 25 sounds about right to me.

Which is a pain to uplug, the battery, or the cable. I don't seem to have a problem doing either.

The cable. It didn't want to come dislodged from the connector on the top of the controller last night.

Hmm, I've read other places where people have had a problem, but mine seems to come unplugged pretty easy.
