RIP Chris Whitley
First Link Wray, now Whitley. I haven't seen an article about his death - just a few announcing that he had terminal cancer, but his official website confirmed that he passed on the 20th.

Wow - I hadn't heard he was sick. He slipped under the radar after his second record, but I still followed him - thought he had a great sound going. Love his guitar work.

Real shame. His debut album is absolutely amazing, and his latter work (while far, far less recognized) was very solid as well. Will have to queue up Living With The Law in his honor.
