Barry Melrose
He just said Dany Heatley is a guy you would want your kids to grow up and be like... is he high? Didn't he kill his teammate? Is he possibly the worst commentator at his sport at ESPN, or are there so many that it really can't be quantified?
Seriously: NHL: Melrose MLB: Brantley NBA: Legler NFL: Salsbury |

And the NHL may have the ugliest website in sports... it's like a 5 year old did the graphics.

I don't find Melrose all that informative and I can't believe he said that about Heatley. Come to think of it, I haven't heard a solid hockey analyst in a long time. Of course it could be because the NHL was gone for a long time.

agreed, although they surprisingly have a great stat section. and I'll take it any day over the navigational nightmare that is MLB.com

Was Heatley drunk driving when the accident occured, or just driving recklessly? I'm sketchy on the details....I guess if he were drunk he'd be in jail now, right?

He wasn't drunk, just driving too fast.
I'd like to point out that there was likely a time in almost all of our lives, likely between the ages of 16 and 22, where we drove like a maniac at least once. 99% of the time we all get away with it, or have a close call or maybe at worst a minor bang up. This poor kid killed his best friend and has to live with that. I wouldn't mind my kids hanging out with him (if I had any), from everything I've read he's a good guy that made a terrible mistake behind the wheel of a car.
