My boss wants me to go to Kansas City once again and I tell him I'm wayyy to busy with the new house and going out of town on Friday, etc..

Someone else steps up and goes instead. Right after the call, my dad calls and says, "I have an extra ticket for tomorrows game vs Houston" WHOOO HOOO!!

That is all...

So you're going to leave Jack hanging in KC just for a silly baseball game. For shame

The honorable way to do with this is to eat some crow and say "dang, Astros lost to the Cards- guess you were right".

I, on the other hand, would like to take the sports approach and say "yeah, well, there's still lots of games left, bucko"

Actually, I think Carp survived a start where he didn't have his usual pitch command. We knocked Pettite around pretty good though, and it seemed like everything went our way. It's a win.

No kidding.... I didn't even see this thread until this morning.

We weren't far from your section before the game. My buddy is a union lawyer and will not drink Bud products in the City so that he won't support Lohr during the beer drivers strike. So.... we had to walk all around that friggin' stadium looking for Schafly and missed all the pre-game stuff. Just for future reference, it's in section 244.

Hahah... fun for you.

That will be the last game I go to with my dad. He's an ass and proved it once again last night at White Castle. Long story short, he has two kids before me - two kids after me - 3rd wife. He treats the first two like shit, the last two like king and queen, and I'm a mixture of both. Fun. He has money flowing out of every orface he has, but still has me buying a round of beers (hello $25), and $80 later we're at WC and he won't buy my $5 worth of burgers and fries. He has about $500 in cash in his money clip so I call him out, he hits me right there in the line, I land a left to his jaw, a mutual friend breaks it up, and I'm outta there heading 2 miles to QT to call my wife to come and get me.

Fun night.

I had to pee real bad in the fourth inning. It took a while to find a bathroom. I had to wait in line.... Ok, so my night wasn't as bad as yours.

Seriously? I don't get along with my father either, but I have never hit him. You are probably best served by having nothing to do with him. That sucks.

Yikes, since I know both (dad and your wife) of them, I'm sure that wasn't a very fun night.

Yep, my Dad isn't as horrible as some, but it really irks me the way he treats me vs the kids that live with him and my step mother.

Oh well, I don't need him or his charity, but I would like my kids to have a life with their Grandfather and Grandmother.
